How is the poll going for you? They havent done anything to improve their ratings since the poll started. In fact the trend is getting worse for them and they deserve it.

Looks like more people than I'd thought have chosen to whine on here than do the productive thing and contact TI directly; I guess I put too much faith in the fellow cgn'er. For whatever reason, TI doesn't put priority in being overly active on here, and they're not in the business of making excuses for shipping delays. They could be on here providing updates every 15 minutes, or they could be focussing on shipping product.. If it were me I'd rather the latter, but that's their choice. As others have commented, direct messages to their actual contact info (they don't list cgn as one on their website) get responses in a reasonable time.

Two buddies both got theirs this past week. They're shipping, it just takes time. Most firearms businesses in Canada could do better with customer service, I'm not going to deny that, but I'm not going to hang TI out to dry due to delays in the 11th hour. If we called to boycott every company that had an issue over the years I don't think we'd have many left.. I'm actually having a hard time thinking of new to market guns that haven't been delayed; this isn't uncommon in this absurdly regulated industry. If you have an issue, get your money back. This is a free market, and businesses that truly don't provide value don't last. If you care that deeply, cancel or sell your deposit. I own 6 guns TI has imported over the years, and have 2 more coming that were originally spec'd to arrive around the new year. Do I expect them to arrive on time? No, that was an eta given based on the info they had at hand at the time of the deposit - things change. Am I concerned that if something goes wrong I won't get my deposit back? No. TI is a reputable company that stands behind their product. I'm quite grateful for their services and will continue to support them as long as they continue to bring new desirable guns to market.

Been watching from the beginning - just got my rifle and mags yesterday. TI is a business - they have other things to do besides shipping Type 81s all day. their shipping process has been fine and people at getting their rifles. No need for pics or updates - the update came when they announced that they had received the rifles and were shipping them. Mag shortage? They did not order too few - they had their shipment shorted - not their fault.

Most ridiculous post I've read..."they have other things to do other then shipping T81's"....
Like what? They needed people's payment in full, up front, in order to place the order as they don't have the scratch themselves.
They had $500,000-$1,000,000 of people's money for a year or more, when it's all said and done they probably cleared $750,000 on this order minimum. Biggest score they ever made, and the one simple thing that was 100% in their control they ####ed up totally.... shipping the rifles out to people.

You referring to the M&M M10X? You think the $1000 T81 is in competition with the $2100 M10X? I don't believe they are playing in the same market segment, but whatever.

I also don't see T81 prices going down unless supply exceeds demand. Put it this way: The first 1000 rifles sold out at the MSRP. Future pricing will depend on the quantity and frequency that more are released on the market.

As soon as they get more T81 mags in, lots of people will be doing business with them again. Myself included! Laugh2

When you think about it, there is NOTHING preventing CanAm or someone like that from importing T81 mags. The CBSA doesn't care who imports these mags, provided they are capacity limited to 5.

Agree with most of this, except I suspect their take was more like $400K after all the expenses involved. Still a nice return on investment - a 40% return. Most businesses would kill for similar margins.

Would love it if multiple dealers brought mags in. More the merrier as far as I’m concerned

The first one to bring them in will probably sell plenty. They were sold out when I ordered my rifle. Like many guys, I would want 20-30 more.

That wasn't a 40% return on investment. It was 100%. They had no investment, they used our money. They simply provided a shipping service a broker.

TRue, but I mean that they likely spent around $600K of our money on acquisition, freight, shipping, warehousing, brokerage, staff, advertising, etc. to bring these to us and will receive around $400K in profit in my uninformed estimation. I would be ok with that if they were behaving like waitress deserving of a tip, but they are NOT.

No, they are not brokers, they actually made the investment becuz should the deal turn south, they were liable to pay us all back from what ever is in the limited company.

Can we say bankruptcy?

In a bankruptcy scenario, you would not get all your investment back. No way.

On the plus side, orders apparently started shipping late yesterday, some ppl got notices, though I'm not one of them.

The nature of any business is to serve their customer. If they are not doing that, what are they do busy doing?
Number one rule of business: " take care of your customer or somebody else will"

The nature of business is to earn money for the shareholders/owners. If they are not doing that - which includes servicing all customers and not just a handful of impatient Type 81 customers from CGN, they will not be in business for long. You seem to think all they have to do all day is ship Type 81s and post pointless updates on that process.
