AK-47 and AR-15 had a baby the caliber would be .300 Black-out?

I see that dies and brass are readily available by various manufacturers. The loading data suggests using magnum pistol caliber powder (296,H110)and magnum small rifle primers.I'm liking what I'm seeing thus far on my purchase selection for my final 3 gun rifle. The S&W MP15 in .300 Whisper/blackout is going on the shopping list.My son is eye-balling my ole' Winchester 94 in 30-30 due to the fact he took his first deer with it and he needs a lighter carbine for bush hunting/stalking.I'll give him that rifle and the new M&P will take the 94's place as close quarter deer gun (red dot of some sort on top)and will serve me well on the 3 gun course as well.If I ever want to change over to .223 for kicks that option is there as well.

Hmmm, So you're admitting on an open forum monitored by the RCMP and numerous anti gun groups that you are going to take a restricted rifle deer hunting? Smartf:P:

You may want to think before you post stuff like that, Or do you not know the AR is a restricted firearm and the MP-15 is an AR?

Try something like my Remington 700AAC-SD in 300BLK if you want to hunt with it. Great little rifle and capable of sub moa at 100 yards with handloads.

Yes I lost my head there for a minute.I've hunted in the states with a handgun and it was great.May-be someday who knows. If somebody told me 30 years ago I'd have 3 computers in my home I'd bust a gut...who knows what lays ahead...:ar15:

Too bad the Mossberg MVP Patrol was not such a POS when I bought one, and it was actually chambered in 7.62x39 like it was advertised by IRUGUNS.

Would have made for a pretty sweet 50 Beowulf conversion.

I may try one again now that they made a new version with an actual synthetic stock vs the painted wood on the first generation but I doubt they fixed the rest of the rifle.

Pretty sure it won't be hunting with an AR again. Those days are long gone. We only seem to get more and more stupid restrictions that do nothing for safety but make the ignorant feel safer.
I wish you were right though, I have 4 AR's and would love to use them away from the range. As far as I'm concerned an AR is no more dangerous than a sharp stick a hammer or a car. All can kill if the person controlling it has intent. It's just a tool, the problem is the minority of people with criminal intent or mental instability. Unfortunately in today's world we punish the majority for the actions of the few.

Weird, My buddy has the 223 tactical version and it shoots sub moa with his 60gr handloads and has been a great rifle for him.
Agree'd, a rebarrel to Beowulf would be sweet in a rifle like that.

I have no idea how it shot, sold it for about half what I paid without ever firing a round, I was that disappointed with the fit, finish and function of the rifle

How do you know how it functioned without firing a round? Just sloppy bolt? Mossberg is similar to Savage these days and that's normal with them, the important part is that once the bolt is locked closed it's solid. They shoot really well. The one my buddy has always strips the next round and shoots sub moa, I'd say function is excellent.

painted wood stock made the rifle so much heavier than it should be, the textured paint finish was very sloppy, bolt was very sloppy and notchy to the point of binding up (no chance of cycling while shouldered and keeping on target), if you inserted the mag on an open bolt it goes in past the lock and jams up into the action, Mag lock up was very loose, actually had a magazine fall right out while handling the rifle.

I bought it to use for hunting, but all of those issues made it useless for that purpose, plus it was not 7.62x39 like the retailer advertised.

Never say never cr5..People told us in 1981 there's no way we would get 1 year paid maternity leave for the gals, and we did, after a bitter strike by Postal Workers. Now almost everybody has it,as it should be,so let's be optimistic."First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you,and you win" Gandhi.

but the postal worker union (Numbers) make any other union / employer look like a large local corner store

6.8 Remington, .300 blackout is a .308 diameter M43 round thats its in a 5.56 cartridge

You're missing the point of the 300BLK.
You can use it in any rifle that currently runs 223/5.56 with a simple barrel swap, no other parts required. You can run projectiles from 90 grains all the way through 220 grains and get all of them to cycle reliably through a semi auto without adjusting the gas system. You can run everything from around 150 grain and up subsonic.
If we were in the US and had access to suppressors we could also run it subsonic and be quieter than a suppressed subsonic 9mm carbine.

If you just run 110-125 grain projectiles then there isn't much advantage over the 7.62x39 other than it doesn't require a different bolt and feeds better from STANAG magazines but it's the versatility of the cartridge that is it's biggest benefit.

I have 3 rifles chambered in 300BLK and I love it. I can plink at the range or take the NR ones varmint hunting and deer hunting. There are so many 308 cal projectiles available and you can use every one of them in the 300BLK

You're taking the government giving something to close to half the population of the country who are also considered a visible minority who have been discriminated against for all of history and also not looked at as a bunch of crazy potential criminals who could go on a rampage at any second and comparing that to gun owners who are a huge minority and hated by the fearful ignorant brainwashed masses?

Also add to that they made it so the mother and father can split that one year leave and they just gave that benefit to every voter in the country who ever plan on procreating.
That wasn't done because they give a crap about women's rights or doing the right thing morally, it was entirely to get votes from as many people as possible, and that's it.

I hope you're right but they really have nothing to gain by giving us more rights other than a few votes they already have. They would lose more support than they gain by giving us more freedom.
Who else are we going to vote for and how many votes from the sheeple would they lose?

Hell, just look at the last provincial election here in Alberta, now we're NDP. We're doomed.
