Alberta Tactical Rifle Issue

Ok maybe I am missing something here but why did a police man deliver the bolt?

I got a PM from Chris stating that his "Uncle ############ with Calgary Police would be in contact" with me. I suspect he was trying to play the intimidation card, but failed to realize I do not intimidate well.

His uncle came by with the bolt, apparently Chris will entrust CP with a bolt to be delivered to his uncle, but not me:eek: So he came, I test fired and he left with the bolt. Seemed like a nice guy though.

Agilent one The thought did cross my mind, but I try to play as nice as I can

So was the uncle there as a police officer in an official capacity or as an uncle.. Sounds to me like abuse of office if he showed up as a cop..

He must not know how often the Tac team stops by to check out the latest toys... you should have invited them to come by for the show and intimidate the intimidator. Good thing he was not difficult to deal with.

Under Canadian laws regarding bailment, the OP's issue is with ATRS. However, ATRS must file a claim with Canada Post. The OP cannot file a claim against Canada Post due to lack of privity. I think it is reasonable for the OP to expect to wait until the issue is resolved between ATRS and Canada Post.

That said, I have dealt with ATRS and have nothing but good things to say. I am sure that they can mend that scrape and have it looking better than new.

away from the topics, and just a thought about preventing damages. if an item, except those very fragile built scale models, is packed with enough cushion around it and the item does not move in the package, the item should arrive in the same condition before it is shipped 99% of the time. some people just drop everything in a gun case, but the loose items rattling inside the case while in transit can cause damage to one another. next time when you buy a computer or a TV or a camera, look at the interior of the box, it is designed in a way such that it weights the least it can be but provide the most protection. i know a company actually design boxes for other companies for such purposes.

I was at ATRS today, they were a bunch of genuinely friendly and very helpful and informative people. I will go back there when time to by the new AR and for any gunsmithing needs, but I don't have to use the mail system cause I live in the area.Sucks to hear what happened to your gun though.

I've never dealt with ATRS but I definitely would considering the way he dealt with all this crap.

Bottom line is ATRS got the best publicity they could ever get on this board because of the OP being such an a$$...

To ATRS: you did amazing work, and showed incredible professionalism trough all of this. I'm genuinely impressed and if I ever wanted to know a bit more about how you care about your business this thread was it.

To the OP: trying to scam ATRS and CP, to the point where you involve your uncle because he has a badge and that impress you... Frankly, is pathetic. Good luck, you'll need it.
