All-New: Type 81M

For anyone who had to send their rifle back for warranty/replacement, did you send just the rifle or did you need to include the magazines, cleaning kit, etc.?

if you don't send the stuff back, they will just subract the mags extra from the replacement unit, send bare rifle you get bare rifle back

What's the hold up with canted rifle sent back for RMA?
It's been a month no response? What's the ETA?
Gun was bought March 26th it's now June 6th.
No reply to my emails. This is unprofessional guys.

Here is my re-finished T81. I still need to put a final coat of Stock Wax on the wood, but I think it looks and feels Great.

- I Stripped all the original wood finish off with Circa 1850 Gel Stripper, 3-4 treatments and water washes.

- Changed profile of butt stock to allow proper cheek weld. Also reshaped the lower handguard a bit to make it feel less like a 2 x 4. Feels Awesome now.

- Light sanding for all pieces with 220, then 400 grit.

- Careful Burning with the Tiger Torch to achieve a very dark look and bring out the grain.

- Very light sand with 600 grit.

- 2 coats of MinWax 'Dark Walnut' Stain.

- 7 coats of Boiled Linseed Oil. Waiting 1 day between each.

Such a fun Rifle, Thanks TI !!!

This looks beautiful! Nice job! Want to take on another pistol grip and hand guard? :)

I have to say your work here is excellent, really makes the rifle more desirable, nice esthetic and a real difference.
