All-New: Type 81M

You can buy pristine chinese surplus sks made litterally decades ago and the vendor will disclose that some of them may present storage marks. But when it come to new production 81, bent barrel, crook stocks and harden rust inhibitor its all acceptable and consider within spec. It doesnt need to be disclose or mention and we apparently have no right to complain.

When you consider that we are in a hobby where the tooling are often made to work in thousand of an inches, where people spent thousands on parts just to shave a fraction of moa on their rifle, and now you expect those same people to ignore stock crook by 1/4 and barrel off by 3.99mm and less. Incredible.

Buddy... they disclose that #### on surplus rifles because otherwise idiots like you wouldn't STFU about defects on their rifles, as that's the nature of military surplus. You'd be surprised how many idiots can't comprehend that. And imagine being so ####ing spoiled that you think the "defects" we are seeing are even that bad, let alone comparing a 3 to 6 moa iron sighted combloc blaster hammered out by some poor schmuck in Communist China being paid less than any western countries minimum wage to sub moa, custom made precision rifles and acting like that justifies your whining LMAO. I'm convinced you guys would be whining more than Americans if AKs ever became legal again, because those guys actually have legitimate issues on a lot of the AKs they get, but that's a whole other discussion.

quality control on these looks like crap.but it's nice to see the price gougers who bought them to flip.now are stuck with them, and with all this crap coming they'll have a hard time unloading them, but it's to bad for all those who had been waiting to buy one at the regular price, hopefully the importer will get things fixed up.

You clearly hasn't been following event since the first import. QC of the first batch was even worse. "Price gougers" had no issues moving them and still there's a demand for old imports. And importer wont fix things up. It's dead horse and anyone who buys the story about "acceptable tolerances" is naive. There are reasons why these rifle will be hit and miss in QC. Reasons not be discussed in details, but attentive shoppers know them. Let me put it this way - any deviation from Type 81 military configuration is the reason for issues, but AK and SVD cope and demand is strong in Canada so here were go with fantasy rifles with bubba-grade modifications.

My main thing is actually milsurp, and never once Ive had a rifle with a bent barrel. Some of those where made more than a century ago on old tooling. Of all the japenese, german, russian, america and brits guns that ive seen not once ive witness a bent barrel, we are talking rifle that where made when they were being bomb, or invade or literally on the brink of destruction. So yeah the complain is legitimate

Im ready to bet that if this was a 600$ canuck shotgun you would be the first to complain.

Im simply expecting the same quality that my SE was.

LMAO one of my friends had one of those. Would have occasional failures to feed, but was otherwise fine. The hate towards turkish shotguns is not quite as overblown as the Type 81 nonsense here. But at least with Turkish shotguns, there's literally dozens of different manufacturers, a quarter of which are the same guns with different brandings lmao. They're cheap guns and expectations need to be tempered accordingly. And just an FYI... AKs with pressed in barrels can have bent barrels too. Wait till you guys deal with actually canted front sight towers like what the Americans deal with on WASR 10s LMAO. Combloc guns are not built to western standards of QC, they're literally built to the standard of "we need to quickly produce 10,000+ of these weapons for our conscript army every week, who cares if they're not 100% perfect, as long as it shoots, they're just gonna be a battlefield casualty in a few days", AKA they're disposable to the countries that designed them. And the sooner people understand that, the better.

Anywho, I have zero desire to entertain this any further. I'll only be back to report on my T81M once I receive it.

You probably handled dozens or hundreds of original AKs? No? Well, there are ppl on this board who had. So please stop being delusional and spread something you don't know. Or maybe you know a secret way to #### up the toolings, bypass factory QC and military commission QC acceptance? Please enlighten us.

If anyone is wondering if the misaligned trunions affects AKs as well, I just checked about a dozen and they were all straight. I also checked the stocks and all of the underfolders had a good amount of up and down play, the best being a polish circle 11 and the worst being an original Russian AKS (underfolder with the milled receiver). The Chinese ones all had a bit of play, even an unfired one

It was a simple question to see what other people’s experiences have been like for a shipping timeline. Good to know your one of the sarcastic trolls on the forums tho

It wasn't really a simple question though, it was a question and then a rant. We are all waiting patiently for our orders. If you read through the posts you'll get a rough estimate of what they are shipping out now. Orders placed on March 14-15 are currently being shipped out

hopefully your order ships soon as i'm dying to know if the samson cheek rest fits and if its any good.

I hope so too. There is a rip-off 3d printed version available on ####### for pretty cheap, I don't think it would hold up to well to bumps and bangs though as the material looks pretty thin. I also plan on putting the Mlok handguard on with a Bravo Company short vertical grip, with the slight angle I am hoping the UF stock clears it without modification.

Bruh, that stock is so barely canted that 99% of people won't notice. Hell I had to look extremely closely at your images to even notice a tiny teeny bit of bend. Literally less than 1mm. Like holy #### man you guys are making mountains out of molehills.

It's dam near half inch out. Pics dont do a good job showing it as I suck at taking pics. The piss off is that TI does nothing but make excuses. If they were to be upfront, open and honest about the known issues with these rifles, you would atleast be forewarned and if you chose to proceed with the purchase it would be difficult to complain after the fact. However as we know this is not the case. TI has made dam near every excuse they can instead of owning it. I have a good 30+ milsurp rifles in various conditions. Some are really poor, some are pristine. None of them have bent barrels, stocks ect despite being made during an active war lol.

My question is why do people like you make excuses for them instead of holding them accountable? how can you be okay with being sold a product that apparently has a 0.05% return rate only to find out the majority of them have defects?

Combination of copium, market demand for budget firearm, desire to own prohibited AK and tolerance for low quality guns due to restrictive gun laws.

Really? half an inch? Your images really don't show that. Like at all. That's why I was making fun of you, because no amount of "amazing picture taking skills" can hide a STOCK bend as severe as you claim. At least the "barrel bends" have some validity, as that does impact zeroing to a degree, while a slightly "bent stock" literally doesn't matter. BTW I'm laughing at the number of times guys have said "copium" in here like as if that changes anything. Keep whining and crying over minor things, while the rest of us will go and have fun shooting them.

Since I’ve joined CGN I don’t think I’ve seen any project ever launched in Canada regarding a firearm ever go off without some insane anti-X task force rolling out to counter signal and yap.

We deserve the firearms laws we have with the attitudes we bring to the table I’ll say that much. Just know when you whiny boomers die out I’ll be low balling your kids to buy your collections.
