All-New: Type 81M

When customers checkout they agree to refund policies as per the checkmark box. We also advise clients requesting refund of fees before proceeding and they give us written consent to proceed. The 3% applies to credit card merchant fees. When a cc order is processed, that fee is taken by Visa/Mastercard and we don't get that back if we run a refund.

The 20% for a firearm in processing is to cover the extensive time and effort involved, that takes away resources from processing other orders:

1. Download invoice
2. Check PAL/contact customer for missing PAL info
3. Generate NR transfer reference number
If not generated, check pending numbers manually, daily
4. Enter NR Transfer Reference into Reference Ledger
5. Once approved make prepaid shipping label(s) for order
6. Prepare/pack order

Refund Requested:

7. Contact warehouse team, try and see if order was packed, pull from queue if possible, disrupting production line and shipping capability

8. If pulled, go into CP website and cancel prepaid label, skip to #12

9. If already packed then it'll take too much time to sort through hundreds of boxes to find one to pull, so it must be shipped out

10. Update NR ledger with outgoing firearm

11. If applicable, wait for parcel to come back, collect from PO box pay for return postage (postage is subsidized, often costing us $50-60 for rifles one way)

12. Open box, pull invoice, papers, return items to inventory

13. Update NR ledger with return firearm

14. Pull up customer transaction and run refund through credit card processor

15. Change status of order to refunded on shopping cart software

16. Post refund amount onto refund tracking spreadsheet for accounting

17. Change internal invoice status to refunded

18. Email client, notifying them of processed refund. Potential follow-up emails/calls as cc companies take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to put funds back on card after it has been reversed

400$ to pull a label & run a pal, eat ####, you guys are a joke 4 weeks and it didnt ship

Ordered March 13th
Order #282**
Received today.

First post on CGN, first order from TI and first Type 81!

Was following this thread and was a little worried about the posts and issues people were experiencing.

Barrel is straight, stock slightly bent. Cosmetic issues are minimal, I'm 6ft and the LOP/stock length is fine. Really not sure what people are complaining about, other than receiving a bent barrel which would legitimately suck.

My X95 has a scratch on it, but you won't see me complaining here. Pretty ridiculous to expect perfection.

I have 7 more fixed coming, will update on how many are bent - regardless of what some might think of that, makes for a decent sample size for defects.

After seeing the level of complaining here I took the time to make this post. Glad I didn't listen to the people here and try to cancel.

I don.nt want to Cancel, but also can not afford to waste any more $$ or time.. 45 days is a long time to wait, after that I move on..

Have you checked your order on TI website? I never received a CP email notice. Happened to check today on the TI website and saw the tracking # available. Had already been delivered. The shipping info was dated March 28th.

Just checked mine and also now says "shipped". No tracking number, and nothing in the email though

We send card for pickup, so they will just deliver notice card, rifle will be held at post office :)

That’s the best way to do it, my last two CP deliveries were like that, I just got an email saying it was at the post office and I went to pick it up. I hate it when they supposedly attempt to deliver during working hours of course when you are never at home, only to have to wait another day to go pick it up. Now, you can go and get it the same day.

This. Every type 81 I’ve owned including the new underfolder with a slightly (1mm) misaligned barrel actually function properly. Accuracy is typically 3-6 MOA with surplus. They don’t jam. They don’t break. The finish on the under folders steel seems kinda sub par and scratches easily. The wood is only finished where visible when assembled on the gun. Comparing it to another 7.62x39 semi auto - the MX10 - which has a very nice finish, a Bolt that feels like it’s running on ball bearings and a modern sleek look, but it’s an unreliable and inaccurate POS. That’s Gen 1 and Gen 2. I’d take any of the type 81’s over it in a heartbeat.

For me , RELIABILITY, AND ROBUSTNESS ARE no 1 on my list ! The wood and all that , it’s really at the end of my list, heck, I would have been happy with a composite stock. This My first Type 81, it’s an UF, I was on the fence for few months, and was about to get an LMG for the thick barrel and the overall look.the misaligned barrel installation really sucks when it’s apparent, mine seems straight….to the naked eye at least. They could have been more careful during the assembly and TI could impose more stringent standards from these factories even if it has to cost more money. Most of us here are willing to pay more for better quality, I have a couple factory 26 Sks And they are spotless . The Chinese can, and have built very well built products contrary to popular belief, it just depends on cost and the market these products are intended for .The design of the type 81 is very sound, there are parts that could be improved by spending more money obviously. I’m going to say something that may not please a lot of people here, and this is coming from someone who owns B&T products , an HK MR 223 and other expensive riffles , I shot and handled the CZ Bren 2 at my range , and that thing feels cheep and Toyish with its lower and pencil silly barrel .the type 81 feels like a tank ! And given its reliability , I would take that any time. Wish they would spend more money for better parts and better QC, I’m willing to spend more if given a better product .

The m10x isn't unreliable, if you know how to shoot it. It has a very weak hammer spring to allow a nice light trigger pull. Doesn't fire surplus ammo because they have hard primers. I only use Norinco non corrosive and have never had a jam. Ever , has 100x nicer fit and finish than this type 81... but 2 very different guns and different purposes. I bought an AK hammer spring that I'm going to try and fit to see if that will help it shoot the surplus ammo. Trigger is too light anyway.
Accuracy is a little better than the type 81. If I had to run out the door with a 7.62x39 the type 81 is the one I'd bring though.
Plus imo the type 81 looks nicer.
