Ammo from Canadain Tire

I am going to try to get my local Canadian Tire to start stocking pistol ammo but I need some Canadian Tire Product Numbers from CGNers out there that have Canadian Tire stores that sell pistol ammo.

Right now I am only looking for .45 ACP. The Product numbers should look like this: 12-3456-7

Seems they are Canadian Tire specific.

I recently read a post a few weeks ago, on this board about how Canadian Tire in his location (Calgary) has the least expensive pistol ammo.

I am fairly sure I checked the ones here, only hunting ammo no pistol.

According to the manager at my local Walmart (so take it with a boulder of salt) all Ontario CT and WM stores are forbidden to sell pistol ammo and will lose their ability to sell any ammo if they are found selling any. He said they had to have a meeting to decide if 22LR is pistol or rifle ammo...

nb doesnt, no law stopping them, just very little demand.

all we see is common 30 cals, .22, .22-250 and shotshells.

I see pistol ammo from time to time in CT stores, I think there is not much demand for pistol ammo from CT customers so they just don't bother stocking it much.

They should also stock cheap American Eagle .223

I love cheap CT ammo. I just cleared out three local CT store of over $500 of Remington 000 Buck, Federal 00 Buck and slugs

The CT on the south side of town here sells everything from .25 ACP to .44 Mag for pistols.

Most pistol ammo arrives via distributors most all CT do not use. I am not sure the codes from one store would work in another?

I was told by customer service that they use a central warehouse system like, Walmart, to distribute products to their stores. I was also told that product numbers are all the same between stores, so I hope you are wrong.

For their regularly stocked items like .22 and .308 sure. Stuff like 9mm comes from North Sylva and the like. I know that because I used to work at the south end CT in town. Maybe things have changed. Veritas where you at?

the stuff i've seen and PAID DEARLY at ct was in 20 round boxes- not the usual 50 of pistol ammo- if you take the time to compare round for round , that so- called cheap box of ammo costs twice as much as if you'd bought a 50 round box- and it's remington hunting to boot- so, yes they DO sell it, and make a hefty profit at it
