They get what they pay for as far as employees go, I guess.
Yeah and for some reason they have NEVER sponsored any of our matches even when I explained just how much we support the storeI guess that’s why they won’t give me any bulk pricing on projectiles.
Yes but they are the only gunshop in the Yukon! And they are not bringing in reloading stuff other than powder and primersDoesn't Hougan's carry ammo and anything for loading any more? Seems they did when I was there last.
.
It's all good. I'm sure all the Canadian Tires across Canada all did there own thing. Just brought me back to the good old days that the young generation knows nothing of.I do apologize..
I should have been more specific about CT.
CT in the mighty metropolis of Richmond BC to be specific .
Back in the day Mail Order was the Amazon or Temu of the day and CT along with Sears and Woodwards and Eatons all provided a valueable service.
I do apologize for any confusion.

Yeah, in Calgarystan, Cambodian Tire Southland (EDIT: McLeod South) has a 'uuuuuge collection of ammo, including spam cans and (in the past) surplus NATO - no such thing as surplus NATO anymoreIt really depends on the crappy tire in question
Here in Alberta some of them put bass pro to shame as they have pretty much every caliber you can think of, Leduc crappy tire comes to mind
Yet others have very minimal, such as with out local town, or have nothing at all as far as firearms and ammo goes
I use to work for them and know the big boys personally one of them being the head manager of all the stores( sports experts, coast mountain sports and hougens) and he said it is impossible to satisfy customers in the reloading department, what is in stock is never what people wants hahaha. That sounds like a hougan-move. stocking what is difficult to be e-ordered is a good community move, and I bet the powders are the fast-movers.
trying to stock all of the possibles in bullets and brass is probably very onerous in a large market let alone a small one like the YK
A CDN Tire doesn't carry, slightly obscure and somewhat rare ammo? You don't say?No 32 special, no 45/70, no 38/55, no 35 Remington, no 300 Savage, no 444 Marlin etc.
The Olds CDN Tire has an absolutely pathetic guns & ammo section, for a small rural town.It really depends on the crappy tire in question

You disagree because things were different FIFTY YEARS AGO? Good LORD people are obtuse sometimes.I have to disagree with this comment as back in the 70's our Canadian Tire was one of the best places to buy ammo including all types of hunting gear.
Yes. Best CDN Tire guns / ammo section I've ever run into. I lived in S Calgary and so go used to that place being nearby. Every other CDN Tire pales in comparison ... which is sad.I checked out the CT on McLeod South in Calgary. The prices I thought were really good and they had a excellent selection of ammo. The fellow showed me more rifles than I could handle and was excellent to deal with. Definitely going to be purchasing more there in the future.
They'd be my go to, except they're just down the street from CSC (a site sponsor), so I go there more often.Yes. Best CDN Tire guns / ammo section I've ever run into. I lived in S Calgary and so go used to that place being nearby. Every other CDN Tire pales in comparison ... which is sad.
