an official Gsg-16 with 9 inch barrel coming soon

Cool.

Lots of people are willing to pay extra for the quality that is associated with the Dlask name. Just because YOU won't doesn't mean others won't, and it certainly doesn't mean people are going to sell guns they paid $900 for at a big loss just because you can get a cheap facsimile from the factory now.

You can get a Ruger 10/22 for $300, and a Remington 870 for slightly more. Yet, Dlask sells a bunch of their 10/22s for more than twice that and were just selling an 870 for $1300, which is sold out.

Maybe the dlask barrel is better, but in general the gun is cheap and plastic, so imo who cares , I'm fine with a mediocre barrel on a mediocre gun, having a high end barrel on a a mediocre gun that isn't made for accuracy anyway doesn't warrant a higher price.
The dlask was selling for more money only because there wasn't another option, most people didn't care about the barrel being a higher quality, they just wanted a short barrel, now that the factory ones are available the dlask won't sell unless they are inline with the factory pricing

makes sense but i seen it happened with med end guns too with dlask barrel.

4 years ago when members here rush to have their $1200 CZ EVO 3 restricted converted to a non-restricted dlask barrel for addition $500, yes, $500.

a year later, guess what? CZ made them in non-restricted. i bought it on sale the following year when the market was saturated with non-restricted for $1250, brand new. never saw another CZ EVO 3 sells for any where near $1700 again. 6 months later it was banned. so is trudeau gonna pay the dlask barrel more than what i paid? who knows?

Anyone else have them listed?
I would rather buy from a gun shop than support those people

no, not a mag holder stock. those are aliexpress stock.

i would never be caught with the mag in my gsg-16 stock, lol. its ugly in it. matter of fact, i swap it out for MP5 stock right away.

I like it because when walk from the table to firing line I don.t have crap in my pockets.

I shoot one mag, do a quick swap and shoot another mag.

Anyone know with the ar buffer tube style stock will you be able to replace it and attach a airsoft mp5 style stock, also is the muzzle device threaded or non removable?

It says Note: Expected to come into stock in early May. So hopefully they'll be shipping to other dealers in the coming weeks too

I'm a bit confused by the Cabelas ad. It says fixed stock, but you can clearly see a little lever on the stock to adjust LOP, so is it fixed and the lever does nothing, or are they calling it fixed because it doesn't collapse all the way like the original design?

My preference would be for a bit of LOP adjustment for my kids, but if not, I'll be looking to put a MP5 style stock on it, and one of the MP5 style handguards either way. If the currently available MP5 stocks dont fit, I bet someone will either figure out how to adapt them or create a new one for this specific model, I suspect there will be a lot of demand for a MP5 style stock to go with these guns.

great it works for you but long term, the tab that holds the mag (no lock) will weaken or worn. the mag will fall out and you will be doing 20 rds pick-up and maybe damaged the mag.

LOL!!!

yah that would SUCK.

It hasn't happened to me yet

Awesome. I was about to buy the dlask one. This one is cheaper and looks better with the included flash hider. I'm so glad I waited.

from cabelas site : • shorter 9-1/4" barrel with faux flash hider

no change to the receiver so yes, you can replace it with airsoft stocks.

the flash hider is fake , its just a tube thread to another tube that looks like a thick barrel. much like on GSG-15.

i too am confused with cabelas statement but i believe its retractable , simply bcos they put an extra long adapter to the back of the cover (see cabelas pic) so that means even if an owner removes the stock, from the back of the buffer to the muzzle is 26".

I carry mags in my Fixed MP5 stock on my GSG 16..

yup, thats the only way to carry a spare in a gsg-16 is with an airsoft fixed stock.

also gsg up graded the charging handle to steel, im glad they listened. now i can do the slap and not worry of it breaking off. lol.

This is news to me (happy news)
I'm assuming the MP5 stock is hollow with a trap door at the back?

nope, a 22 rds long mag fits perfectly, this is the only way to carry a spare mag in a gsgs-16. there is a youtube vid demoing it.
