an official Gsg-16 with 9 inch barrel coming soon

So they are in stock locally, a second shipment in a few more weeks, some new red tape next week, and your waiting to possibly save a few bucks?

Yeah. that was my reasoning for getting it now as well. Would've saved the 7% if I bought out of province but it was worth getting my hands on one now.

I really did try my best to get one from my LGS. I asked 3 of the ones that I normally go to and nobody could give me a time frame or had any info on them. Because they didn't show up on the BL website they didn't know if they would be getting these.

So maybe it's only Cabelas for now?

Who knows, I think if anyone wants one before the 16th they should get it when they can where they can.... 110roundmagdumpdudeonyoutube will be surely posting an update.... maybe he will whip it out from under a trenchcoat this time.

Good times ahead.

Yup. i bought mine at the Cabelas in Abby. When I was there, they were just taking them off the pallet. They had 6 listed in stock in their system as of then. Counter guy said might be more as they unpack the pallet but that was what was in the computer.

Stock does extend. There's a ~2.5inch piece that prevents it from collapsing all the way. When collapse, the LOP is roughly 14 inches. Fully extended is ~ 17.5 inches.

I can get some pictures up later tonight and better measurements if you need. Just making some dinner for my kids.

Can you tell us who is the importer on the rifle, Blueline or ATI?

Cheers

Yupp. It's Cabelas. They're ALREADY keeping records. So I don't see there being a significant difference from the perspective of the new law.

14 inches at it's shortest?! And it goes up to over 17!? They making these for people or gorillas?? Lol

That's a bit disappointing... Anyone happen to know what LOP is with the fixed mp5 stock?

as i suspected, cabelas isnt getting theirs from ATI . your theory is out the door so why are they getting theirs ahead of anyone else? im not happy, not a word from any sponsor.

The silence is bizarre for sure. Even an "I don't know" would be ok, but nothing!
I talked to gsg on Facebook messenger a few times, they were pretty prompt on answering, I asked them who other than cabelas was going to be stocking, no answer, I asked a few sponsors on here directly and no answer.
Is there something I'm missing or a sore spot for some reason?

MP5 Fixed stock is 14" as well.
The CYMA 4pt adjustable is 14.5", 13.75", 11.25" and 8.75". The last 2 measurements would not be able to be used with the GSG 9.25 barrel as they would become restricted

thanks for the pics.

i see 3 things that are different. FH, cocking handle and stock.

i like this look much more once i remove most of the rails and expose the mlok.

btw: another dlask gsg-16 on ee for $750.

Anything specific you want to see?

Here's a quick shot of it

Thanks for taking pictures for us. Looks like GSG went with a GSG 15/ISSC MK22/Mauser M15 style charging handle.

To swap it to the other side do you just pull out the charging handle and put it into the other side without having to take apart the cocking tube?

Dang. Look at that. Didn't think these were going to make it before the 18th. Disappointing to see that they don't have threaded barrels... are the stocks actual MFT ones or just clones? Milspec? Charging handle looks worse but it's probably stronger if I had to guess.

Unscrew the upper rail cover over the charging tube and there will be a phillips screw that needs to be removed. Once the screw is removed it can be moved to the other side

not like the gsg-15 and you have to disassemble the cocking tube to swap the charging handle. like bear said you need to get a screw in the tube to remove the charging handle.

im ok with no threaded muzzle. now, wouldnt that be something if it is a real MFT. the new charging handle is made of steel.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was like the original GSG16 on how to replace the charging handle on this one as the pictures that Lunfish put up looked similar to the gsg15 design for the charging handle. Guess they changed it to make it harder to hk slap and break the handle lol.
