angryness

Big girls need love too, guys :p I drew a tag for a fat chick last year myself, bagged me a big 'un...oh wait, were we talking about moose hunting, or fat chick hunting? Crap!

glad to hear the calf is down to barry, as for the ontarioites here, moose is refering to BC laws NOT ontario or pei or quebec, in BC it says if you encounter a cow with a calf that it is suggested you take the calf , tags here do NOT say COW MOOSE they say antlerless.

and todd why would he take your leftovers ?

if you encounter a cow with a calf that it is suggested you take the calf

I am a bc transplant and well know the bc regulations..... it is suggested, not mandated by law that you take the calf.... a suggestion is just that, it is not legally binding.

either way the lady took a legal shot and is taking home some meat..... probably a good 100-200 lbs more meat then if she would have shot the calf. 100-200 lbs MINIMUM.

what if she wanted more meat for the freezer then some scrawny calf would give..... another question to be asked is did this mouse hunter legally take the calf ?? did he have tags and such.... ?? takes a real man to shoot a calf hanging around his mothers kill site ;)

x2 Iguanafred. That's some real hunting. Sit on a gutpile and make cow calls or probly just shoot it from the road on the first trip in there. The poor calf stood a better chance on it's own then against someone that "knew where his mom was killed"

I fail to see a diff between shooting a motherless calf hanging around & sitting in a blind waiting for some unsuspecting deer to start feeding in a field of it's favourite food!

Both are just harvesting meat & neither one is has any relation to real hunting

"Real" hunting? You must mean grouse hunting ;) Only the bravest would dare track a grouse in the bush. They can double back on you in a second, and if you've never been charged by a pissed-off grouse, it's a fearsome sight, lemme tell ya! The first time I got charged by a grouse, I nearly shat my pants and ran screaming like a schoolgirl until I fell into a creek and got mud in my mouth. Wounded grouse are even worse, if you're tracking wounded grouse you'd better have something stout like a 45/70 guide gun or a PTRD anti-tank rifle or something. Don't mess around with grouse, man!!

A moose is legally harvested, so whats the problem. You got some ethics you want to impose on me??

Another teenage boy pees his pants over something he knows nothign about..........hoooray

i don't know how you guys hunt but where i come from when we come up on a calf and a cow,we take out the calf first, most times the mamma stands there stunned, making a great shot, done this 3 times now.We never shoot the cow first.;)

Considering you've only been here a few weeks I think you might wanna check the additude at the door. There is no reason to be calling other members idiots on this forum. Smarten up or get lost.

show me where I called other members idiots.... highlight the word idiot for me in the quotation you did in your post. yes I called mouse hunter an idiot..... I believe most on the forum would agree after checking out his post history. the demonical thread was the best though for mouse hunter to shine.

wolves and coyotes have to eat too....
Right there smart ass... Shows me exactly where you called another member an idiot. It doesnt matter what everyone thinks, keep your stupid insults to yourself.

i just got home from moose hunting and some fat lady shot a cow moose and not the calf the calf is probably still roaming out there now me and my buddy will hopefully go find it tommorow had to coem out of the shadows as i am quite angry.

By find it, do you mean you went out and shot it? Did you have a license for that?

The thing that pissed me off was that moose hunter came here with something that bothered him, and instead of discussing the pros and cons of taking a mother with calf people jumped on him like a pack of wild hyenas. I personally wouldn't shoot a mother with calf unless it meant I would starve to death if I didnt take the shot. You don't think that way? Fine, thats your right, and you won't see me calling you an idiot for it... its called being polite, a few people here might want to look that word up

he came in here with an attitude.... first calling the lady fat and then calling into question her ethics.

in BC there is no rule on what to shoot.... anterless is anterless, how would you feel if it was your wife standing out there shooting a moose, I for one would be proud of her, but instead we have snot nosed little mouse hunter who does not know his ass from a plow handle calling a fellow hunter fat and calling into questions the ethics..... what she did was 110% legal, mouse hunter doesn't like it then he should as amphibious said "go cry in his chocolate milk (whatever that means).

hey iggy dude when your nuts drop come back and play with us !

I think the point he was trying to make was that there are DRY cows out there why take 1 with a calf ? I mean maybe in Ontario folks do that , so what they bait bears as well no reason to hang them, no matter what if its legal its legal, may not be right in some peoples eyes

now onto Jr .

so now your calling the guy a poacher ? are you insinuating he illegaly took the calf? and transplant no more like evictee , even your village didnt want you back :runaway:

oh ps bchunting regs online says calf is open in region 7 until the 20th , but that would have been to obvious to look up and figure out

and lastly it takes a real man to shoot a cow and leave the young to fend for themselves ;) but hey thats just MY opinion

anyhow nuff said you have a whole dozen posts of ...well not alot but this one kind of says it all dosnt it
