Navy Gunner

Is that a flying saucer , next to the rifle mag?:confused::confused:

They're lousy fr*ggin things - do you have any idea what it costs to keep these damned things fed? You go to the range with a hundred bucks worth of ammo and a couple of hours (at most) later you're out and jonesing like a junkie trying to figure out where the nearest source for ammo is and how you can slide the cost past the wife. Horrible guns; load mag, ####, shoot, empty mag repeat until you're a shadow of your old financial self -and what do you get to show for it, 2 inch groups.

This is why I just picked up a CMMG sub-cal kit for mine at the SHOT show, looking forward to shooting it next week!

I just got my new Norinco, hope to try it out tomorrow. What would be a good choice for a scope that won't break the bank, but will do the job and stand up to a few year's use?
Thanks,
Geoff

I just put the NC Star compact scope with quick release from Marstar for $81 onto mine. Comes with a Bullet Drop compensator. works great.

Aint no substitute for cubic inches -
The gas bill is expensive - but worth it -
(My norcs are all sub MOA by the way)

I bought a NcStar scope for mine too. Way out first few rounds - couldn't even hit paper. Got it dialed down to about 3" so far. Figured my shivering was the culpret. will have to try when it gets warmer.

What model of NcStar? Worth it or not?

Marstar has it. STM3942G *Sniper*. yea, I know.... However I do like the variable magnification and the quick release lever part. Once dialed nearly in, seems to stay where it's told. Only have a couple hunded rounds through it. Time will tell. That being said, I would buy another one if the need arose. Wouldn't hesitate. Clone rifle, clone scope. All work within acceptable parameters. All within my limited budget.

The fact that these M4/C-8 style norinco's don't come up on the EE very often says something. It says people bought them, like them, and keep them.

I guess we could say the same thing about Rhineland arms rifles as well.

TDC
TDC, I don't always agree with you, but you usually present well-reasoned opinions. Why do you have such an irrational bias against Norcs? The only thing wrong with the Norc ARs is the finish, and as you always say, function is more important than looks.
