Anti Swat Attire - Hunting Small game w/B&G rifles

A Leo can check which gun are registrated to your name via his radio & dispatch. The procedure might take 2-3 minutes.

That's right...I hear they do it 10,000 times a day...
This country has moved so far from "normal" in less than 30 years to where we are today.....Law abiding firearms owners haven't changed; in fact, I'd suggest that as a community we are "safer" with our firearms than we were 30 years ago. It is the pubic's perception that has been changed, with fictional scare tactics to demonize private gun ownership. It certainly reinforces the dogma that an entire country can be changed in one generation with the deliberate application of brain-washing.
My experience a month ago at PoCo when somebody on the firing line called in the cops because he thought I had a "machine gun" was very unsettling for me. I could have lost everything on the whim of the police officer who showed up. I'm thankful that he saw it for what it was and took no further action. We are not even safe from persecution with our registered firearms, pursuing a legal activity on a government approved range. ;)

How Is This Legal?

I carry a Glock on my hip for 7 months of the year in the bush and although it's rare for me to run into anyone else , it does happen . When i spot a berry picker , camper or canoeist i slide my fanny pack to cover the gun . Nothing seen , nothing said . Maybe sling your gun so that you can turn slightly so they can't get a good look at the gun .

...just a comment on the "so and so was wearing Camo bull$hit". The only time I don't have on a pair of either surplus solid green [old canadian forces] pants, or a pair of Propper BDU pants in varying colors from camo to solid tan would be at a wedding, funeral or christmas dinner!!!. There is no better value for your dollar. I use them at work, as well as play which for me is 80% outdoor activities anyway.
I cleaned my local surplus store out of size 7032 pants when I heard the CF was changing to digital camo. In my opinion the old solid greens are the most comfy, longest wearing and useful pants ever made!.
I will not wear "Eddie Bauer" special edition middle-aged man elastic waistband volcanic sand colored "Khakis" with matching golf shirt to look a little "less lethal" or militant to the general public.

Every single day I wake up and put on my full BDU, lace up my combat boots and clench my jaw 'cause it's a friggin battle out there man!!!. There is a WAR goin' on in this country man!!!... It's me vs. the misinformed stereotyping Lieberal disciples of "Windy" and her crackerjack rhetoric... and it is hell man!!!:D :onCrack: :onCrack: :D

O.K. I'm done now lol,

So a 14 inch barrel on an 870 shotgun is legal?? I did not know this. How and why?? Or is this one of those fuzzy things we must just believe?? Can I just go out and buy a 14" barrel for my 870 as well, or must you buy it new with the short barrel on it?

I'd like to know why as well.

How does that work? Is it still good to have a short barrel if the overall length is up to snuff?

if you can find a FACTORY 14" Barrel your good to go as long as your shotguns over all length is to code

you CAN NOT cut your barrel down or it will be Prohib

I think what Fed007 was trying to say is that yes you can wear BDU's to go shooting or hunting, but doing so in public view is just asking for trouble since our country is full of idot soccer moms and "hero" cops. All you'll accomplish is getting a prostate exam and turning a few more cops, and newspaper editors against us.

that guy is a dumbass plain and simple his decisions created the situation

Nice:rolleyes:

I hope you do find youself in the very same situation as J. Logan after some YuYup calls you in as a "scary man with a gun". The cavity search at roadside will probably change your view on J. Logans situation.

I stand out where I live by Not wearing Camo! And I don't just mean afield I mean downtown and at the grocery store.LOL. Around here Camo is the conformists white shirt and tie.
At my kids school little girls wear camo dresses and boys have camo pencil cases.
I used to like camo but now I feel drawn to tweed, dockers pants and shoes with laces.

If you are out in the bush dressed in camo with your scary gun and some one calls it in.......GET BETTER CAMO!

And there u have it folks...lol ;)

Tell ya what Blistex after reading your thread I've decided to update my wardrobe.
Hmmm... I'm thinkin' a pair of neutral earth toned "Dockers" for when I'm going to shoot my cz-858 or 14" 870. Then when I deer hunt with my blackpowder rifle
I think I will go with the head to toe Buckskin motif... Geez after thinking about it for a bit I could just sell my 5/30 CZ mags and opt for 5 rounders only. I could even un-thread the scary "SILENCER" slash muzzle-brake, as it sends soccer moms across the country into fits.

14" Dlask 870 barrel for sale here folks, what the hell do I need that thing for anyway??? Certain items of clothing and accessories are spooking the general populace and giving other shooters [or should I say "sportsmen?"] a bad name with liberals or LEO's and newspaper editors.

Your choice of daily attire is just that...you're legal choice, but I appreciate the heads up about how wearing BDU pants can hurt the image of our community. ;)

Mad Mikey.-violator of liberal wardrobe laws.

/\/\ Yah, because bdu's and mag limits are totally the same.

If you live in the backwoods or some community populated by level headed people then wear whatever you want. But I have talked to people in Collingwood (few minutes from where the gentleman in question lived) and about 90% of them said the same thing.

"OMG, that man was wearing Camo, and he had a machinegun beside a school. God we have to stop that, what can we do to help stop school shootings."

Most people totally ignored his rights being violated or the fact that he did nothing illegal, but these are the people who vote our rights away every 4 years. They were probably all Liberal voters, but that kind of situation and story just puts evil guns back to the forefront of their minds.

Personally I don't want to loose my pistol or have all my rifles converted to single shot because someone decided they wanted to dress like soldiers and stopped off at Timmys drivethrough with an SL8 or Ar-180B in plain view, causing the SWAT team to show up.

Everyone here knows we have the right to dress how we want, but what's the point of dressing up in your BDU's, with all your cool webbing and stuff if all the ranges have been closed because public opinion decided scary looking guns were bad?

As for people who want Deer camo. . .

I don't get the BDU thing myself. If they are comfortable then wearing them for hunting should be fine. But the webbing, upsidedown knife and all the doo-dahs are just plain silly. It just looks like guys like that are doing what I did when I was nine and ten; playing army.

So do it correctly and join or form a re-enacting unit.

Wow, lookat all the appeasement......

It hasn't won us anything so far, why do you think it will now ?????

Given this is Canada it's more about slowing down the loss of our rights.

There are two types of idiots involved. Those that overreact to the sight of a firearm, and those that try and make sure the first see their firearm.

I don't care if you hunt or go to the range in full battle attire. Just try not to stop off at every Timmy's and McDonalds and loudly talk about rifles and shooting so as to look macho and also scare every soccer mom within eye and ear range.

I know that black rifles and bdu's are fine, you guys know it, it's just a huge slice of the voting pie sees them and thinks "school shooting, lone gunman, going postal". I personally try to give them as little ammo as possible.
