I'll try this again. The latest new arrivals.

Newest pick-up - a Nagant model 1887 revolver made by Husqvarna. Caliber is 7.5mm Swedish (can be made from 32-20 brass). Of the 12,000 Husqvarna made, only the first year's production are considered antique - I got lucky in coming across this one.

And just to show the size of it, here it is next to a Vaquero.

Seems to be small all over, except for the grip. The bore is good, and it locks up like a tank, so I'm hoping it'll be a good shooter.

Got it already FRY. Bittermann it's like mint. Been waiting since Nov.19th for them to arrive from the Kull auction. The #3 below it has WF & CO EX. stamped into the frame so I'm trying to find out what the Wells Fargo stamp was like.

Mr Jetrefueller Sir!!
Wow yet again, you show us poor plebian toilers things we can not hope to afford for many years....

What a collection!! That lightening there , are the grips ivory?
Just absolutely beautiful!!!!

Also the "what I presume to be a 1877" colt army is just beautiful.

I think we need a -envy- emoticon smiley!!

Cheers Sir!

Very nice! A Wells Fargo. I didn't think they used something long barrelled like that, always thought they preferred the short barrelled jobbies.

That's quite a haul, I hesitate to ask what that Russian cost you.

One day......one day.....

Hi Musketfire that lightning was sold to me as a Thunderer and supposed to be .41cal. Now I have to change the cylinder and barrel cause as it stands now it's a prohib. Even the customs guys didn't catch it. It's currently in pieces awaiting the new ordered parts.
The grips seem to be some kind of hard plastic more's the pity but the workings of the gun are perfect. Bittermansbro I can't put down on paper what the Russian cost me in case the wife spots it. You know the story all guns cost $50.00 and the ammo costs $5.00. LOL.

Very nice and Rare gun to Find Killer! thats a very nice looking set of Stag grips on that Vaquero to! :)

Let us know how that Nagant shoots eh Being as mine is in England somewhere

Hope the thing gets sent back to me someday. Knuckle draging chimp postal Workers....

Very nice Oldiron. I would like to get an original in working condition to shoot, I bet they are a lot of fun to shoot. I know most folks wouldn't shoot these old cannons but to me thats part of the fun in collecting. Bet I get a lot of static or saying that.

They are nice to shoot, but I only use about two-thirds of a charge and four or five SSG balls in greased patching. You still get the smoke and your stuff doesn't blow up. (and one ball might hit on target !)

Four rare brownies

A "GROUP PHOTO" OF FOUR GUNS YOU'LL PROBABLY NEVER AGAIN SEE TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE! Gathered here are four VERY scarce Variations of the Mossberg Brownie (1919-1932). There were only approximately 32,000 of these little guns produced - in just 3 KNOWN variations. ALL were .22rf four-shot with revolving firing pin, and considered as "semi-automatic" or "double-action."

Two on left are Variation #2 which had the WRONG patent date stamped into the right side of the barrels. Both are in VG+ condition with ALL matching serial numbers. Based on accumulated databased serial numbers - since there are NO known factory records - it's estimated only about 1,700 of this ERROR date came out of Oscar's New Haven, CT shop. Only SIX such survivors have been reported.

The two on the right are the more common Variation #3 (approx. 20,160 made) but these two still have their original plain black box. One still has the original brown oiled paper and inserted instruction pamphlet. These are both considered as New In Box (NIB) specimens. Only FOUR such survivors have been reported.

My newest additions

Here's my newest 2, bought from one of our very own!!

The larger of the 2 is chambered in what I believe is either 40 or 44 cal, the smaller one is chambered to a size just slightly larger then a pencils diameter.

I am not yet sure as to their date and factories of manufacture, that's I suppose part of the fun!

I have yet to strip and clean/repair them as yet so heres the before pictures;) I would be pleased to get any information some of the more experienced collectors may have!

I plan on making a gentlemans presentation case with both these pieces
