Any 25-06 fans here?

I have a 270 and love it. I can't help but feel like a 25-06 would fill the exact same role, especially if you ignore the heavier side of the 270 bullet selection. I could see me owning one in the future if I ever get into sheep or goat hunting...

I love my 25-06! Sako 75 in a McMillan edge with a FX3 6x42. I shoot 100 grain triple shocks with a healthy dose of R22.
I've also owned a Remington 700 and a Browning B78 in 25-06, both tackdrivers.

I took a long time to choose one, and love mine! All I have shot at so far have been deer. Usually you find them where you shot them! I did have one run....about 10 yards. There was blood at the point of impact sprayed over a 10 foot circle! I have been using the 110 g accubonds which were fine. I just recently bought a box of tsx's, and will try them out this deer season.
Easy recoil, and flat shooting. I'm not sure if it is under estimated, but it is under appreciated.

Super Cub :

Yes sir! I sure enjoy shooting the barrels Bevan and I used to make! I miss the guy!

I never had the chance to visit with him much in his last years. I regret not having the chance to see him more!

I agree completely about this caliber and especially w/ the over the counter ammo avail.
I have experienced LASER like accuracy out to 400 yards with drop in the spot punch.
And all this from a 47 year old Swedish rifle shooting that caliber round.
Simply amazing.

RJ, I am not sure what happened with his equipment. All I heard about is the barrel deep hole drill, and button rifling machine went to the same place. I wish I could have afforded the equipment myself!

I sure enjoyed the conversations with Bevin! He had a great sence of humour! And so many interesting stories!
