AGREED! We are not in the habit of trying to make the cheapest crap available, for that there is plenty of offshore or other allegedly Canadian made product available. This gun will have a high quality matchgrade barrel and like our AT15s will be extremely well made and finished and also will have several features that the AR10 platform lacks. Pricing will be kept in mind obviously, but as usual for us , quality will be paramount.
The other part of the equation will be that the purchaser will have quite a bit of latitude in price as they will be the 1s selecting many of the options as far as furnitue goes, and there is real basic (inexpensive) furniture as well as grossly expensive finely made or unique furniture on the market that can be chosen. All of which will effect the end price.
IF and the key word is IF the RCMP classes our gun a NON restricted, as they should, the basic platform can be modified to several different variations, including calibers up to 338 Lapua.

Maybe we should be offering it as a basic operational barreled action only and the customer can the decide on what furniture and such to employ? That way the base price will be lower and leave the final price up to the consumer. So much to ponder.

This may be asking a lot but... Here I go. With this rifle will there be the option/ability to chamber it in 300blk?

Would solve my issue of wanting a NR semi 300blk... And not have to ponder compromising on a XCR in something else.

Or s it still too early to speculate?

Either way I can't wait to see one of these.

Ok, so you're in a thread about a .308 rifle, asking about .300 blackout, which the parent case is .223.

Yup, not harm in asking a question right?
Wise man once told me (he was a firearms instructor no less) a brilliant piece of advice
I admit, not my brightest question.
His piece of advice was this: The only truly, utterly stupid question is the one that does NOT get asked.
Certainly no harm in asking, perhaps this rifle design will lead to a scaled down 5.56 version. Then .300 blackout would likely be easily accomplished.
Exactly my point. And maybe it will.
THAT potential does exist.
This is good. This is VERY good. Maybe even possibility for other calibres based on the 5.56/.223 case.

Face palm indeed!

Sorry I just cant get excited about a restricted .308 AR platform, when I need to drive minimum 1 hr to a 300m range. Now if that Nemo Arms was ever a reality 300winmag for us- Bang/flop Elk all day !
Trust me when I say I Love all things that go boom/hiss/thump/bang/rumble.. its just my canadian law frustration :(
