Anyone bought a BR-99 yet?

Well tw has like 3 dealers... so 3.

Meanwhile the Derya is here. So much for value for the money with the br99. Apples to oranges.

3 dealers? I can only see 2 when I do a search for uzkon in Canada, S&J and NAS. I liked the trigger wholesale page for his like and share contest. I ended up buying a Derya from Lanz. Unliked

So nobody has gotten one yet? Red tape up the wazoo or what? Looks pretty awesome in this video:

Looks like a redneck wet dream:

Word from the lab...

1) the frt is not approved. An frt was issued upon receipt of the sample for pending classification, but this is not yet public.

2) the classification is not finished or finalized. NR is not yet confirmed. Once confirmed, the frt entry will be made public on the frt system.

3) Importation of samples without a finalized frt is generally not an issue. Importation of a large supply for sale without an approved frt is another thing.

Not sure what is going on here, but seems caution should be in order. Anyone who wants to verify can call the cfo number and ask to speak with the frt section.

Here we go again with the classification game, why do the importers not wait for the whole process to run its process, before making claims that the average person can substantiate with a simple call to the FRT section???

Don't blame RCMP on this one. How are your memories guys?
Anyone still remembers century arms vz 58 fiasco that trigger wholesale made just 2 years ago. I was one of the suckers who bought it on pre sale then had to fight 4 months to get my money back. All excuses given by the dealer that sold it and trigger wholesale were the same ones. It is the same Déjà vu

Well alledgedly the lab's response to the non restricted status was "the first we heard it being non restricted was on cgn"

So not everyone there is of the same opinion as TW.

It isn't a game. Pretty simple. Submit sample, wait for frt classification to be published, import batch for sale. Easy.

Don't put the cart before the horse.

Easy, yes. Reasonably quick given business capital outlay? No.

At the end of the day, the lab is full of inefficient 9 to 5-ers (at best), does not care to improve customer service, and averages about 4 years to make a determination on ANYTHING. How that provides a "service" to Canadian retailers is beyond me. They are the opposite of a service agency who deals in the avid obstruction of free enterprise.

Sure. I get the lab can be difficult.

However, TW said these are in stock. Is that possible? Sure. Are they ready to ship them? Also probably true.

However, saying the gun is non restricted is premature as the lab is saying the classification is not completed yet. The gun has been issued and frt number which is true, but every gun gets one as soon as the exam process begins. That frt is published once the lab forms and opinion and publishes the classification.

The classification has not been published. Selling the gun puts potential buyers in a sticky spot.

In stock and ready to ship, but not shipping due to not having a classification yet. That's on TW.

S&J said they would be shipping in a day or so

TW and Nas have been saying for two weeks that these are in stock and ready to ship. No one has been billed and no one has received a shipping notice.

As stated by S&J there are frt issues that they won't get into. They quoted TW on this point.

The frt classification report is not finalized by the lab, which means these can not ship. Regardless of what any dealer says. If they ship prior to classification and the lab later declares them restricted or prohibited, the shipper and importer are liable for trafficking charges.

The lab has threatened such action in the past.

To his credit, he did do a good and quick job of clearing the stoppage. I almost didn't notice it. Caught it because I was counting the rounds.

So hard not to be distracted by how redneck he sounded.
