Anyone bought a BR-99 yet?

To his credit, he did do a good and quick job of clearing the stoppage. I almost didn't notice it. Caught it because I was counting the rounds.

So hard not to be distracted by how redneck he sounded.

Worse case of "finger on the trigger" during mag changes I've seen in while.

So the "public safety issue" is that the mags from the uzkon pump gun fit in the br99 and they modified the br99 to not accept pump gun mags. TW notes that the pump gun mags won't feed in the br99, just fit. And in their attempts to get it to fit, they say the pump gun mags would only feed once out of about one hundred tries.

So the mags don't function, but that is their concern.

They have posted a video. Oddly enough, in the video they admit that the FRT has not been finalized as the lab still has concerns. They pass off the concerns as being this mag issue, but sadly magazines are regulated seperate from firearms. So the magazine issue would not be something that would affect the classification of the gun.

It would cause issue potentially with a "dual purpose" argument from the lab on the limits of their pump gun mags, but not br99 mags or the gun's classification.

But apparently people on cgn aren't verifiers like all the TW staff, or would know anything about those sort of things.

To satisfy our friends at the FRT lab...

Still no FRT published for any Uzkon model, be it pump or semi.

The concern would appear to be in preventing the pump gun mags aren't declared as prohibited in their full capacity as dual purpose for the BR99.

In fairness, if that IS true (who knows?), and IF I had bought an AS46 in good faith, I would be REALLY upset if TW brought in a semi that caused all my mags to need to be pinned to 5 rounds.

If they can avert that possibility in advance, good on them.

For these mag fed shotguns, it looks like the mags are built to accommodate 3" shells. Can anyone confirm that 2 3/4" shells will cycle fine or do these mags need an insert for the shorter shells?

Oh it is a fair concern, but not a concern that would have any effect on the issuance of an frt for either gun. The guns are classified, and mags are classified on their own.

Bottom line, the frt has not been made public and the classification is there for not finalized, and the guns can't be released to the public until that happens. Magazine compatibility has nothing to due with it

These are the same people that tried to tell you they had an frt approved for a non restricted AK straight pull. And they were going to bring in vz58 made in the US.

Just got an answer from Trigger Wholesale, great customer service :)
"Both the AS46 and BR99 function with 2-3/4" shells despite being designed (and marked) for 3" shells"

looky here a whole day without fenceline telling people the sky is falling. :)

At the end of the day its up the TWI , its any issues arise it is will be on them to sort it out, I,m sure they know this.
So lets just see how it goes.

I have a lot of respect for you as a retailer but tw has done a poor job of bringing this to market and there are obvious flaws in how they have approached the approval process and bringing this to market. None of that is on you. That is tw.

The sky isn't falling. The frt just isn't published, and the reasons given are not very compelling or in line with how the process works.

In addition, TWs boasts about his "thousands of frt entries" (he has around 40 associated to tw as an importer), and "millions in inventory" (when referring to the uzkon shotguns) don't seem to add up either or add to the credibility he is trying achieve.

It is worth questioning. Especially when the answers only raise more questions.

Thank you for not filling up my forum, with your questions, like you say it has nothing to do with us, the question is, why are you so invested in this? we have had a few transactions, and I have never seen you so into wanting to see another biz fall on its face, I can see why the competition has tried hard to do the same, just wondered why you want to see this fail.
I guess I,m a bit one sided on this issue as I have been selling products from this wholesaler, but there is a lot of things go one In this biz that would surprise most people.
The guys as the RCMP have read all these post and have even commented on some of our videos lol.
I think this is much to do about nothing.
That said I,m either 100% right or 100% wrong, I just have to have faith that no one would spend $500k+ on guns, break the law and make a you tube video about .
No ones that stupid.

No dog in this fight, but there's no end to stupid in the world.

For example: How much did the original Type 97 importer lose when their original shipment was seized and destroyed?

Or how about everyone's best friend from Calgary ensuring the Swiss Arms fiasco and initial prohibition, affecting his as much as anyone?

I have no investment in any of this. What troubles me is how they do business. My concern is that are putting people in a troubling position, whether those people are dealers like yourself, or potential customers.

TW has a record of promising the world, and delivering little. SPBAR, vz2008, korean grand. So much greatness advertised, so little materializes.

All of these issues would not exist if he had done things the right way. Wait for the lab to finish, then bring in the product and sell it.

I hope the lab makes it NR. But with TW I personally wouldn't hold blmy breath.

I hope I'm wrong if only for your sake. I like the idea of you being successful and profiting.

I was not favourably impressed with TW after they took over the Grand Power handgun line. Much fanfare ensured (along with a huge price increase) then months went by without any spare mags or parts etc being available....emailed questions met with not even the courtesy or a reply......a few guns showed up in some online seller's inventory and then seemed to quietly fall by the wayside.

I hope things work out with the BR-99 but I have to say, seeing that TW is the distributor would give me pause.

I'm out for the simple fact that it was brought in by TW. i was going to buy one, but TW has screwed over the Canadian Gun market and Consumers one to many times.

Ordered one at Xmas from S&J, was told it would ship on the 28th, credit card has been charged but now not returning my messages and no shipping confirmation yet. Guess I need t try to phone tomorrow to go d out what's going on
