Anyone Remote Want to Host Me for a while?

I think Laddie, once you get a taste of the B.C. outdoors, well chit, you won't be going back.
Get the yewn-yung thug to gift you a ride on the ferry over to the big island.
That itself is breath taking.
Maybe.....:nest:......Carverk and git yer arse invited to his island as well.

Yer dewmed, me thinks......................:p

Oh, do you know oww to work a sawzawl?..............

I think he has a contact in Kelowna from past posts iirc.
Lots of wide open spaces to explore and hang a hat for a bit.

I am thinking more like CBSA or Customs and Immigration unless they are one and the same nowadays? Watch a couple episodes of Border Security. Slamfire is right. Even doing the woofers thing ( work in exchange for room and board) requires a work permit by law. It’s amazing to see how many they turn back at the point of entry on that show.

they do not show you the ones that they did not .... you should come here ....

Now this Spiked my Attention Ardent!!

I’m @wildcoastoutfitters on instagram, we follow each other there, don’t think we’ve made the connection here. Help Douglas at Kootenay Lake in the summer like BUM says and come carry goats here in August / Sept. Need guys that can carry a hundred pounds through the hardest place to carry a hundred pounds and still smile and shoot the goat pellets with the clients. A fit Aussie could manage, you guys have grit.

Accommodations are spartan,

The hippies, lefties, and gun grabbers along the west coast would soon have me missing the frosty doors along the north coast.

BC’s coast is a damn big place and those rumours get swollen a tad outta proportion. It’s one of the most beautiful places on Earth hands down and is worth any asterisk it carries. I just go where those folks can’t, which isn’t hard. I fly in the proper north for the day job, and live and outfit on the coast. Both have their upsides, but born on the coast, and hard to stay away. The Pacific gets into your veins first time you jump in, never leaves.

Years ago in a rye fueled BS session a guy told me he had the last pack of smokes in Norman Wells and some guy grabbed it out of his shirt pocket and like all his drunken stories it concluded with "so I grabbed that

You never know I’ve seen similar happen over smokes and booze. :d

That isn’t the NWL crew house is it ;)

Nope, thousands of camps of identical construction operating up north at any given time.

I worry about BC to be honest.....

I have had the priveledge of living there for brief periods of time and observing their hunts for many species (except the high ones), close up as well as the priveledge of considering ardent a “digital friend”...... I also communicate with a couple of guys that had the priveledge of hunting / guiding through ardent’s outfit on a semi daily basis..... and they truly leave me envious..

The recent grizz ban was ridiculous, this is a species “of least concern”, and the end of the hunt was completely arbitrary in my opinion.... yet I see hunters posting here thinking the grizz is endangered.... that is a very scary reality......

WL, if your life gives you the freedom mine doesn’t right now, get to BC as soon as possible....

Brad look forward to the day we meet up too, hopefully with Greg out and we have some fun at it instead of working.

Matey, I'm itching to bail over to New Zealand for a good stint at Life, in the mean time something different in wild place would be cool as schit!

NZ holds MORE for ME, hunting rules regs and seasons etc, there is still a lot of big wild remote country in nz, different but same, I will end up there before I cant climb mountains!!

And they don’t have the ridiculous gun laws our two countries share!

And then there’s the ritual hazing to contend with. Hoyt had to spend the night on a stump in the middle of a blowout of a river you know well. Was supposed to do it on one leg.

Ardent: “You argue Hoyt, yet you have no experience with the great hump shouldered bear of the rain forest. You will remain here overnight on this sandbar perched atop the majestic Douglas Fir stump, standing on one leg until you are able to think like the great bear.”

Hoyt: “Are you s******g me?!!! (As Ardent pulls away in boat)

Ardent: (laughing aloud) “No but if you don’t remain alert some Grizzly will be by tomorrow!”
