I like your style I load light for caliber and fast for the mountains too, it results in a more workable trajectory for most mountain hunting applications. I’m a major fan of rounds in this class they represent the best of the mountain bunch, .257 Roy, 6.5x284, .264 Win, .270, .270 WSM, .280, .284, 7 Mag.
.270, .280, .284 represent a sweet spot in particular of speed / rifle weight / efficiency, and .284 is likely the outright winner if not for being harder to feed so I usually go to the .270 / 7 Mag.
