Anyone still buying CZ anymore?

What’s the scoop with Elwood Epps?

The only significant liberal victory in the last five years, brought to you by Elwood Epps, and a group of other business "professionals".

I still have the contract that they signed on the backup drive.

Cheers,

Unfortunately, the entire Cdn market isn't as big as pretty much any one state down south, so, it's really only a bit of gravy for them. We can get all huffy and up in arms over it all we want, it really doesn't mean diddly squat to them. Gov't /LEO contracts in Cda are likely worth more than the retail stuff overall, as they usually involve maintenance, parts, accessories that the retail market doesn't, as a packaged product. They'll sell more in one product, in one sale, than 50 civilians will buy of 10 different products to make the same money. Who in Cda is buying Colt anything other than the gov't? What do they or CZ really offer in Cda that the civilian markets wants, or that can be sold in Cda? What you bought, is bought already, what retailers want to buy from them, is pretty limited. The 600's, the 457's and maybe a few shotguns. The shotguns are all Turkish imports, plenty of those around that are cheaper. Plenty of competition on the rifles by what appears to be some pretty good stuff, maybe better than what CZ offers. And the bulk of the population, doesn't really care.

Actually the government contracts are guaranteed to CZ/Colt under the munitions supply program, colt Canada is subsidized and the government can’t give its small arms work to anyone else.

CZ has the ability to say no to non-manufacturing overhaul work. They are not required to take the buyback blood money. They just do, because they thought nobody would find out.

As for the ace to grind thing, this was all uncovered by Ian Runkel and I highly doubt he has a personal axe to grind with that company in particular.
