Anyone use Vortex's warranty service?

I have a first gen Vortex XBR scope that takes both hands to rotate the magnification ring and i am on the fence as to send it in for service or live with it as is.
Looking for others experience with vortex's warranty service.
Not a large concern as far as quick turnaround FWIW.
 
I sent a discontinued tripod to Vortex about a month ago because one of the legs wouldn't lock properly. Since the model was no longer available, they offered me a choice between a few current equivalents and sent me a brand new replacement. Excellent service all around.
 
Id hope that having a warranty like that would incentivize them to make products that dont need it.
just the opposite
warranty like leupold's is that type of a warranty i have bought many used leupolds sent them into korth not because they needed work but because i wanted it serviced and brought up to speck
know charge to me i pay shipping one way and i have a scope that is good for another 40 years
leupold on all my rifles
i would not be seen with a vortex on my rifles
 
If there's one thing Vortex should have down pat it's their warranty service. Has to be their busiest department. Have to wonder how long they'll be able to keep it going if the Chinese/Asian tariff situation continues for any length of time.
 
It would be interesting to know actual percentage of warranty return rate on Vortex, Bushnell, Burris, Leupold, Athlon, Holosun, Aimpoint, etc., and how they compare.

So many name brands have made in China items in their brand line ( along with non-China items).
It would also be interesting to know warranty claims on China made vs non-China made product within those brand names.

Probably wishful thinking to find actual stats. Oh well.
 
Dropped the rifle off the tailgate and shattered the glass on a Vortex Venom (the red dot not the scope), explained them the situation, they asked for some pictures and when and where I got it from (no proof asked), sent me a new one and instructed me to destroy and trash the old one.
Whole ordeal took 4 weeks from contacting to getting a replacement at the door.
