Here's my first AR. :ar15: It's a LMT Defender 2000 lower and a 16" (M4 profile) upper with chrome lined barrel, 1/7" twist and MP tested. The stock is a collapsible SOPMOD. For now, the only upgrade that's been done is the flash suppressor. I've put a YHM Phantom.

Now, i have to figure what kind of optical sight i'll put on the AR and what kind or forearm rail. On the Win. 70, i'll, put a 2.5x10-42mm Swarovski that I already have.

Nice retro there tpsaux! I've got an older SP1 upper and am trying to find an old style butt and pistol grip as well as a older colt lower to finish mine.

Here is my m4gery..after some flat black gun kote and krylon khaki on the furniture. It's got an elcan and a gg&g rail for my G2 light.
Nothing fancy but it goes bang when I squeeze the trigger.

Tks Maurice. I was hoping to have it back together for the shoot last weekend but the air cured gun kote I tried on the furniture didn't stick. So I had to strip it and use the spray paint. the fun never ends. :)
I heard someone beat your score with the 9mm..is that true? :D

Maybe? Seriously? Well, that IPSC timer is from the stone ages, the old black box with white button. I had to reshoot the first stage, as the timer was not picking up my shots (it said 1.31 seconds, 2nd run on that stage was 16 seconds). stage #1- 16sec, stage #2- 7secs?, stage# 3 -9.05seconds; my total time was 36 seconds for the whole course at once. When I left no one had beat any of my times, even with revolver. Jean Guy was a close 2nd to me last year.

Darla and The Gimp

After a LONG dry-spell I FINALLY made it out to the range for an afternoon of shooting. I took my AR-15's out to Stittsville and had a BLAST!

Here are some pics of "Darla" and "The Gimp".

Darla:
- DLASK Lower with A2 Stock and A3 upper
- DPMS 20" HBAR 1/7
- Bushnell 4-12 scope (soon to be replaced with a ACOC clone)
- Brass catcher

The Gimp:
- Armalite M15a4 14.5 HB upper
- Armalite Lower
- NM trigger group
- ARMS #40L sight
- Fobus handguards

This was the first time that I tried Darla at 300m. She worked well and I ended up with a nice 10shot 5" group at 300m with 62gr SS109 bullets. Good enough for me!
