why can't we just leave production division alone? IT appears to be thriving in the states. More proposed trigger pull weights for DA and DA/SA.
For the record,..I think it is a terrible idea. Good news for striker fired guns (glcock) and bad news for DA/SA guns that have SA below 3lbs (CZ shadow)

My CZ Shadow is 100% legal with all CZUB optional parts INCLUDING the Combat Hammer, the one with the rounded top right corner with serrations - unlike the comp hammer with the serrations just on top and the top right corner is cut off.
Yes I have read all the sneaky little mods one can do to a Shadow to lighten the trigger pull but I have not modded anything like cutting down the main/hammer spring nor cut the FP return spring to prevent light strikes nor have I snuck and bought a extended FP from CZ-Custom. It still has the original trigger return spring and sear spring.
Yet today I decided to try a SA trigger pull weight test and it just passed the test with a freeweight weighting in at 3lbs 1.3oz according to my digital scale. I attached a string to the weight and placed the other end to the center of the trigger face and followed App F2. Now if I'm not "gentle" enough or bob it just abit then the trigger will fail the test. And that's with about 3000rds through it plus my dry fire practice. Add the gun oil and she's smooth as silk.
So having said that and knowing my Shadow is 100% legal and by chance fail the SA test at a match I will be so P*SSED.
Seem like I'm being punished because if we're shooting a 10 stage match... I'm only squeezing DA 10 times where as my plastic lover competitor is squeezing his/her's 5+ lb trigger through out the whole match.
BTW... I started out with a G21 then moved to a M&P9 and now the Shadow.

Yeah yet another reason why i'm thinking IPSC is no longer for me. I've got less disposable income than I once did and buying a new pistol and 8 mags only to have to do the same thing in another 5 years because some whiney chump doesn't want to play the game is enough to make my fists hurt. I was averaging about 3500$ a season in ammo when I regularly shot IPSC (every weekend) and my gun (cz sp01) was 1200$ used with 8 mags and the standard mods (springs). Your average production shooter will spend a similar amount on a G17 or M&P9, 600$ for gun, 50$ a mag, 100-200$ in parts and labour to smooth it out. BTW I've seen what a ton of shooters do and trust me there never was and never will be out of the box production. Anyone with a brain will do something to gain an advantage (filing, tweaking, powder puff ammo). Hell one guy loaded his ammo below power factor and kept 1 mag of factory ammo in the rear most pouch in case he got called on it. It's a game Vince, quit ####ing with it. Some people are like a vacuum, they suck the fun out of everything.

I bet it does. The other regions really seem to have a nanny state way of thinking and are quite unified behind these kinds of things. I won't be surprised to see it pass. And of course no exceptions given to us due to so many shooting in the USA. I wouldn't be surprised to see some USPSA matches happening in Canada on a more regular basis due to some of the proposed changes.

I wonder why those rule changes are not communicated to the regional director or why regional director is not communicating it to sections? Last time I checked with him, I've been informed that GV is not an official source.
