ATRS modern hunter?

I don't have a lot of experience with different triggers or a trigger pull scale. The trigger in my modern hunter is a lot better than 2 of my rem700 triggers. It does have a bit of creep, but it breaks very nicely and consistently as far as I can tell. The issue people have with the trigger is its not your basic ar10 mil spec trigger. It has a lighter 4 lb spring which doesn't set off hard cup primers very well. Which shouldn't be a problem cause if someone wants to shoot cheap ammo there is also cheap NR rifles for that purpose.

Go on......

It's simply a matter of reverse engineering from the Timney trigger a suitable housing for the geiselle trigger group to fit into. I am sure it could be done as long as one has the correct machinery.......which I do have.

I am currently looking into a Modern Hunter as a possible acquisition for future projects and may explore this option if I get it.

I like my MH AS A HUNTING RIFLE it is heavy so I got a 18.5 thin barrel to replace the 22" bull barrel this will nock off over 2 lb of the rifle
I will still need to shot off shooting stick most of the time with the odd offhand shot in the field
To help with the weight I got a biathlon type sling
reliability is good I have only one round jam but that was do to not seating the mag properly
It do's require keeping the action clean and well oiled this makes me a bit nerves for hunting in cold weather
accuracy is good haven't mist anything I shot at
My MH is chambered in 6.5CM AND I a upper in 338fedral that I have to Finnish paying for just one more small payment
The next upper will be in 308 ammo is so much easier to get in 308
yes I like the MH and I have the MV on order as well I am hoping they go ahead and make a 6.5 Grendel upper for the MV
If the 6.5 Grendel is made for the MV the MH is going to see a lot less time hunting

If you want a quality, semi-custom, non restricted rifle that will shoot MOA then the MH is it. You don't see a lot of reviews on them yet, because a lot of us haven't had the time behind them to do a proper review. Many reviews/range reports were just taken down as well, because every owner that posted anything seemed to get slagged by a bunch of no-minds that had never even held one. After market support is fantastic, because ATRS isn't a big company and they stand behind their product. This isn't NEA or Robinson Arms using their customers as beta testers.

There is nothing wrong with the M-14 platform as well, but to get close to what ATRS is offering in an M-14 you're looking at LRB and an aftermarket stock. I think TonyBen just posted that his setup is worth about $6500 US. That ain't chicken feed

As for accuracy/reliability. These are MOA rifles. There was even a post from one owner that shot MOA using Norc surplus. However: Rick has been very up front from the start about these rifles not liking hard primers. They were never designed to shoot cheap surplus. The general attitude was that you don't spend 4K on a rifle to shoot cheap ammo in. You can if you want, but don't expect it to eat surplus like an SKS

These were built and marketed as an extremely accurate hunting rifle-hence the name. They are not a Battle Rifle. They are the top of the heap for a modern style, AR type, non restricted rifle. They are, in my opinion, simply fantastic.

Flame suit on!!!

Dude, rick claimed .5-.75 moa before they were released and scoffed at 1 MOA rifles...get with the game bud.
