ATRS modern hunter?

, 99.9% of the time the accuracy is shooter limited and has nothing to do with the firearm.

In my experiences and with consensus from others I have found the bolt guns are more operator friendly then Semi-Auto precision rifles. Its all in the head when it comes to semi-auto precision.

Why are the owners on this forum unwilling to illustrate the MV/H disabled?

If you're willing to wait a bit, let me know what you want to see. I'm busy with house reno's right now, then gone until March 10, but I'm sure I could try to get some pics of the innards of my MV.

Unless you learned on a semi auto, like some of us did. In that case, it wasn't that semi auto was hard, it was that bolt guns were more forgiving of the non perfect shot.

Note: I have purchased a custom AR from an individual/Machine Shop which has made MH barrels and he did not charge what I heard the ATRS pieces are.

you thinking of getting a mv?

Sorry but the ONLY 2 companies that have made factory installed barrels for our Modern Hunters is either ATRS or Proof Research.
The matchgrade stainless Modern Hunter barrel is $725.00 just to put an end to all of this rampant speculation and guessing, which is credited if a CFW barrel is opted for.
Furniture upgrades where we can not supply it is also credited. we simply cannot deal with every manufacturer. NOTE however ALL rifles leave ATRS complete and test fired.
We will not assume the liability attached to selling a DIY set up.

yah me too, but ive been going back and forth on the whole thing, one day im ready to put the deposit and then i get cold feet and I draw back, been like this for almost a year now

sometimes i feellike giving my cc number to onetwenty and tell him to just order me on cause i cant seem to make up my mind

We used some of Bobs barrel BLANKS for some of the oddball calibers like 338 Fuderal, but the contouring, chambering, engraving and all the machinework was all done here.
There IS a significant difference in cost between a blank and a completely finished barrel.
And before some negative type jumps on this, the purchasers were made well aware of whose blanks were used on these guns.
Frankly Bob builds as good a barrel as any of the US makers.

Oh I am in no way dissing his barrels or what you tried because I concur with your assessment on the quality. I am very happy with his work.

Not to get off topic but this is a 5 shot string from one of his AR custom barrels today.

Sorry I was not referring to you with the disclaimer, however there is 1 or 2 members here that love to pick at everything we do so I thought it better to be pre-emptive for them.

I don't think anyone has any concerns with Bob's barrel blanks.

Some of us buy and sell things often. I bought a Barrett mrad 338lm then 4-5 months later bought a cadex 338lm just because I prefer Canadian products and I think it looks nicer. Now my mrad is up for sale not because it wasn't a really good gun I just liked the cadex a little bit more.

I agree on the Cadex. Really nice stuff and great customer service. I like their products.

Now your MH is up for sale?

His broken leg has made him stir crazy and it's time to make some deals, don't worry though, he's working on a trade for a different MH not abandoning the platform, lol.
