Attention! Poco Gun club members! DON'T USE 10 ROUND LAR-15 MAGAZINE AT RANGE 7!

I would of hoped that you would of verbally engaged him in '### and travel' Why do I have this image of some morbidly obese mass of flesh with a pseudo 'ranger cut' thinking because he was 'CIL' back in the 70's that he is to be treated as a 'figurehead of authority / menace' ????

Im thinking if anyone of those 'micheal moore' stunt doubles had grabbed my #### there would have been a few hyper extended limbs

Ken I don't think anyone will argue that there are people who shouldn't be able to own a gun, we're upset that you seem to feel that we licenced shooters are safer with low capacity mags.

If that's how I came across I am truly sorry, I do not feel that way at all. As a matter of fact I believe we should be able to own machine guns ( of course paying for the ammo might put a strain on a marriage or two ).

Also if you or anyone else felt that my views are intended to represent anyone but myself please put yourself at ease. In no way do I represent anyone but myself and any thing I might say smart or stupid can only be taken as a reflection upon myself.

Ken

Well after reading all that all I can say is:

Come on down to the new indoor range range when we open. And you can shoot your 10 Round 9mm AR's to your hearts content.

And I will even ecourage you to shoot mag after mag....:dancingbanana:

Put up orSHUT UP!!

I was up at POCO today just watching.I was talking with Claude the Caretaker. So far there is no full time paid Range Warden. All the guys filling Johns shoes are VOLUNTEERS, not paid, working for free!! on their own time!!!So if you don't like the fact someone is there to keep the range open for YOUR enjoyment go to one of the other ranges where the grass is always seemingly greener!!

anyway..... a little off topic there. that's great they want to volunteer, but they shouldn't impose laws that don't exist

i don't think anyone should put up or shut up. it's an issue that needs to be dealt with not avoided

It is good to hear that there are a lot of dedicated volunteers for the POCO range facilities. It would also be helpful if the said volunteers had full knowledge of the laws. With that said, I think I'll head out tomorrow to my own range. Thank Christ I don't live on the lower mainland, Van Isle for 26 years was enough of the coast for me:p

If the range rules say 5 rounds in the mags, the warden's job is to enforce that, no matter how stupid it may be. The members of the range (such as me) are responsible for writing the rules, not the warden.

You know what? I was told that they don't care about the mag. it's the rifle can't be loaded with more than five rounds. But hey, most rifle can be load with only one round in the chamber. Am i right?

you should only have said: "Its fine sir. these are perfectly legal. but, since you insist that i leave then i will."

dont get all steamed up. its not good.

Wow another :onCrack: . The thread isn't about having volunteers, this sport is 95% volunteer, it's that the POCO's "volunteers" SUCK, you can go in the corner with the rest of the suck that seems to be POCO.

Man we really are our own worst enemy. POCO should pass a rule that only snap caps can be loaded, that'al make it safe.:runaway: In the nut shell you have terrible rules because you don't trust your membership.:slap: :kickInTheNuts: Surprised you're not forced to wear full face hockey helmets at all times to keep you from stabbing yourselfs in the eye with your corked forks.:bangHead:

You guys sound like barrels of fun at POCO... :puke:

sound suppressors should be un-illigalised so that ppl who shoot fast dont disturb those that are taking their time and concertrate on the target. lol

There are lots of ranges around BC that do not have full time caretakers and they operate just fine. Also shooters not only give purpose to a range, but they pay to play, and they and their property should be treated with respect.

The worst thing a rifle range can do is attempt to become as snobby, expensive, and rule bound with self appointed king poops like a golf course.

I was shooting at poco on the 4th and John P. didn't say anything. I was shooting my pistols but I also had my 10.5" AR out with 5/30 mags & LAR-15 10 rounders. John did take a look at the type/brand of rounds I was shooting and commented that they were pretty kinda pricey. (they weren't bulk). No other comments... But the AR I had out was an actual LAR-15. Don't know if John noticed that or not.

All poco members with black rifles will have to vote to change that 5 round loaded in longarms rule...

I'm literally counting the days.....It should be after the tenth right? Now all I need is a 9mm top end for the AR.

I am going to another range where the grass IS greener. No more 'holier than thou' attitudes like yours to deal with....I don't intend to 'put up' (with PoCo) or 'shut up' either. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Mine is that now that John is gone, so am I...

Dont worry eventually there will be someone with a 'strata council' attitude who thinks every body should be required to solely owning and shooting the No5 Jungle Carbine
