Is it normal to call the 1800 number and have them be constantly busy or you receive a generic message that the 'volume of calls' is too high and to call back?

1. write your test and pass.
2. send in your rpal application and test results.
3. wait to you see that your application is starting to be processed, Than to speed things along call them and ask if they would like your references to call them and if they could do your interview now, or wait for them to call you and your references.
4. receive your license in the mail and order your gun.
5. Send in your Att application with sections a, c, and f filled out only and a copy of your range membership card. You can also fax this in and mine was completed within the hour.
CFO told me that if the firearm was sent to the post office that I would need a temp att to bring it home. I asked her what if I don't know what it is because I had ordered other parcels to and she told me that I should then get a temp att for any parcels coming from the place of order just in case. With this, keep in mind a lot of gunnuts say don't open it and just take it home.
Hope this helps. The whole process took approx 5 weeks from 1 to 5 for me.
Just called to get conditions changed on my ATT for all provinces in western Canada. Was told I have to have a membership to a range in each province. This was the Sask CFO too...
Mine was just a LTATT, to and from all ranges and gunsmiths in province, and must have the reg certs for transported firearmsWas it easy to get conditions changed? It looks like I just got a lame LT/ATT without asking for it. ( emailed to me ) Besides the 5 year date, is their any indication on the paper stating LT/ATT? I'm looking for all ranges and gunsmiths in Sask. Also "all in possession that I have certificates for. Going to phone CFO tomorrow.

Hey guys, might not be the right thread but was wondering if it was possible for me to make pit stops with a restricted in the car on the way to the range. What i mean is lets say there is a Futureshop between my place and the range, or a Sail right next to my range, is it OK to leave my gun in the car or must i absolutely go home and back? In the second example my car would be at the range and the gun in it, is that any better? And if i am allowed to make pit stops like the examples i mentioned just above are there any time limits per say? Thank you
The CFO will tell you to get a separate ATT.
However, you are simply picking up a package. You get many packages. It could be anything.
Shall you get an ATT for every notice, just in case?
How does the ATT work if I order a Hand gun and UPS or Canada post leaves a notice to pick it up. Do I have to apply for a ATT (Ontario) to pick it up from the post office/ups etc or does the ATT it was sent with still work?
I am guilty of not reading the whole thread to find my answer....in my defense its really long
Well Shawn, thanks for correcting me.
I will be calling the CFO every time I get a delivery notice from now on.
Just in case.
Thanks!

You can post your drama BS all you want, doesn't change the legality of transporting a restricted firearm.
Shawn
No drama at all Shawn. I am sincerely going to get ATT's for every delivery notice.
Even though the person who is delivering it to me doesn't need one, or even an RPAL.
The voice you are hearing inside your head when you read my posts must sound like a real a$$hole.
Counselling offence that is not committed
464. Except where otherwise expressly provided by law, the following provisions apply in respect of persons who counsel other persons to commit offences, namely,
(a) every one who counsels another person to commit an indictable offence is, if the offence is not committed, guilty of an indictable offence and liable to the same punishment to which a person who attempts to commit that offence is liable; and
(b) every one who counsels another person to commit an offence punishable on summary conviction is, if the offence is not committed, guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.
Can I pick it up from a trip to the range, if it is in all cases a reasonably direct route with my valid ATT?
Lets say for the sake of argument it isn't a new gun, but one returning from repairs?
