Says "sniper".

Here it is with a Limbsaver recoil pad (size small) and a cheap Allen shell holder:

That is pretty much all I intend to do to it except paint the wood (eventually - maybe) and possibly adjust/change the front sight after a trip to the range.

Nice work Tom E,
Have you had a chance to try it with the truglow? It looks a bit higher then the post it came with but maybe not quite hi enough....how does it attach?
Perhaps you can shim it up a bit if needed.

I would say the sight is about 2-3mm higher than the stock bead. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I hope it will work, if not I can just pop it off and try your rivet idea. However I really like the visibility of the fiber optic. I don't think shimming is an option as the plastic snap on barrel clip is extremely tight.

I see it's a friction type fit. I guess if you do need to raise it up a bit you could cut the lower parts that wrap around off and then bed it on with some glue at the right height.
My pop rivet won't be on there for long..... :)

I got mine on tuesday, had a chance to try it out yesterday. with target load 2 3/4'' all went well but with heavy game load #2 and slugs (both 2 3/4'' as well) the forestock quite literally fell off and I noticed it was harder to open it up. i know you get what you pay for but i wasn't expecting that lol

For 149.00 the deception wont be big, that not much money so if you tweek half hour on it and you make it full fonctionnal, it is fully worthed... JP.

I've posted before - I hold the forend on mine with two strips of hockey tape... now it's one of my favourite guns.

Sorry, I guess I read your post too quickly and missed that. 17 1/4" is the answer you are looking for. :)

Not to worry its all good, Thanks....
Now to find a briefcase with a oal longer than 17.25".... Would it be to much to ask to get you to tell me what the maximum width is?

is there anyone who got a 16ga. backpacker? if so I'd like to hear about the quality of those and possibly pictures if they don't mind uploading them
