bad deals on milsuerp parts on ebay

He is sure defensive. With responses like that, it's obvious it was not a mistake sending you the wrong stuff.

Are you going to send it back for the exchange or go through with the dispute?
 
Tell him to send you the new stock set and then you will send the crap he sent in the first shipment. He is obviously stewing about the funds that are locked up. If he has the exact stock set pictured he should send it first. It was his dishonesty so he should make it right. But then again it is Florida, he is probably too busy diddling his sister...cue banjo music..
 
You can't get that pictured stock set....it was promised to me by the seller back in post #27. Of course, I believe her, since I asked directly.

The latest listing mentions that the sling is not included and not available. Not sure how they are going to supply your missing sling if you do talk them out of the original set.
 
If he says it's delayed until December 28, that's probably because it will be beyond any time limit to get your money back. On the other hand, if he fails to reply it may delay the claim and work in your favor. I buy and sell stuff on e-Bay too, rarely have an issue but I've been caught by auction fever myself a few times..I usually know before I've paid when I've overpaid. Good luck, I'll be following your progress.
 
Ya I don't know what the sling confusion was either? Its here in my gun room. Now my trigger guard and front sling swivel are a mystery on the other hand. Lol

We'll see what happens now, I messaged the other username to see if I bought the other posted set if I'd get the real stock or more junk and the seller gave me some four letter words and apparently I'll be sorry if we ever meet up, exactly what I'd say if I was being investigated for fraudulent sales...
 
Sounds like buddy's very upset that you tied up his Christmas money.

Under eBay's rules you have to send the item back before you can get a refund. You also have to send it with proof of delivery IIRC.

These are (FRAUD ALERT)'s rules too obviously, since eBay owns (FRAUD ALERT) and the two sites are so integrated.

If you have proof of mailing/delivery you will get a refund from (FRAUD ALERT). Once you sign on with those folks you give them the right to do just about anything they want and they have no mercy on sellers from what I've read.

If (FRAUD ALERT) prompts me to do that then I will do it. Otherwise it can sit right here. And good if he's mad. Maybe he'll learn a valuable lesson out of this.
 
I have mixed feeling with ebay and (FRAUD ALERT). You really have to look for good deals and when you do find a good deal its the shipping that gets you in the end. I had my (FRAUD ALERT) account hacked two years ago and it was a nightmare dealing with (FRAUD ALERT). They kept telling me it was not their problem and I had to deal with the bank and the bank said it wasnt their problem and to deal with (FRAUD ALERT). Got the police involved and then both (FRAUD ALERT) and the bank quickly resolved the problem.
 
Ha Ha, I made a "Best offer" to Joanesbarnsales on the stock set listed for $10 , with a note that his listing was fraudelent, it was declined and I just got back a note from seller-

What do you mean fraudulent, I am turning this over to ebay, you and your buddy. Suck

Keep the pressure on this shyster, personally I'm willing to donate a couple bucks to your cause to fight this guy
and hopefully he'll follow through on his threat to quit e-Bay. Good riddance to him.

Thanks a bunch. Everyone who does this is helping to pressurte this guy out of the scene. If he was worth keeping around he would have admitted his mistake. Instead he won't.
I'm wondering if I should figure out how to link this thread on milsurps and gunboards? Anyone know the ins and outs of doing that?

I'll dig through my stuff and see if I have any parts that will help your project (I was happy with the deal you gave me on the mannlicher clips) :)
I don't have a full stock set or anything but might have a buttstock and trigger guard laying around that I'll probably never use.

You're doing the right thing, and you will almost certainly get your money back through (FRAUD ALERT) if you just follow their resolution process.

Clearly everyone should stay away from this seller, the new seller, and any subsequent seller that offers this stock set or any other identical item to these accounts. However, it is possible that he does have the actual pictured set (not that any of us should take a chance on it).

You are at a higher risk for bait-and-switch substitutions when you make a low offer, because the seller could be trying to make up ‘lost profits.’ I really wanted to get $50 for these Nike sneakers, but this guy offered me $3… at that price he'll probably just be happy to get a pair of shower sandals, and I can re-list my Nikes later for the real high rollers. It ain't right, but many people are tempted to think that way.

The Best Offer box is not the place to negotiate shipping; if you read above it, it will say, ‘Offer price does not include shipping,’ and in the various tutorials on the site they tell you that you must pay the listed shipping fee. The point being, if you think shipping is high, then lower your Offer and add a message to it saying you knocked your price back $30 or whatever because you know it will cost much less to ship.

Guys sounds like he may be leaning towards giving me my money back. He says he has had 40 offers on the nice stock and has obviously not accepted any. He says my friends in Canada have been harassing him to no end. I suspect all of you are to thank for that :)

Really hoping this comes to an end soon. I told him to get (FRAUD ALERT) to send me a message saying he wants to do the tracked return with them debiting my money back upon signature so we'll see. Sounded like thats what he wanted at this time which is good. Too funny to read all the names this guy has for me, pretty creative.

This thread is great. I don't mean to take pleasure in your troubles but this seller is getting what he deserves, and its great.

That's the good thing about forums, scammers get outed hard.

I would definitely post it on gunboards.
