Ballistic Plates Incoming

How much room do you have available in your plate carrier. Our thinnest plate would be the steel Level III+, as they are only about 8mm-10mm thick.

I'm not sure exactly. When the carrier is laying flat on the counter, it looks like I could fit something close to an inch thick, but when I put it on, it doesn't feel like I could put anything thicker than 10mm in it... Do you guys have plates without the foam that aren't steel?

None of our ceramic or PE plates have any noticeable external coating other than a thin wrap of fabric and some cushioning in the corners. If you where in the area I would invite you to come by and try some of our plates in your carrier. If space is the issue I would definitely suggest the level III aluminum or PE as that would be the slimmest other than the steel. But based on what you are describing I would suggest trying to put the hard plates and soft plates in when the vest is off and then try and adjust the size of the vest to you with the plates inside.

I'm definitely interested in low profile soft armor. probably will choose IIIA, but not sure yet. would like to see how those look like - will you have samples?

These will be made in house in Canada so we are going to try and have some samples ready by potentially the middle to end of august. We will start a new thread closer to the day, but we will keep everyone updated here as well.

Just a question to you guys. We are currently working on soft armor and we are curious if you would be interested in an incredibly low profile IIA "vest"/almost undershirt which would retail for around 125-140CAD. It would have front back and side protection built in. We can also do IIIA but it would cost around 20% more.

I would very much be interested in this, especially if you were able to make it stab resistant. I would be in for 1 or 2 plus tell all my buddies about it

Yes and yes. Black vest, with a high quality carrier. Even if it's a few bucks more. Or just swimmers cut backing plates we can add to a low pro carrier of our choosing.

Well if I recall we still need to wrap your plates. We can't have you receive an unwrapped wedding present after all.

I'm excited and scared all at the same time to see my wife's reaction! One of my good "gun buddies" at the wedding is in on this, and made a comment at the wedding that there would be a late arriving gift, so he's already planted the seed in her mind so I can just blame him!

Absolutely! In for either!

IIIA please. Interested. Is it Kevlar/Dyneema mix or UHWPE? If Kevlar, VERY interested.

How thick is the Aluminum plate? And it looks like you guys are all sold out of the pre-orders...?

The aluminum level IV is around 22mm thick, and the Level III is around 18mm thick. Our orders are closed until this first shipment arrives and we ship out to those who have already ordered. Once that’s done we will open up sales again with us actually holding inventory at our warehouse.

Level 3 sounds like a good option then.

When do you guys expect to have everything completed and stock on these plates? Thanks!

Just a quick update the shipment is in the port of Toronto and we are currently clearing it through customs.
This is how we feel with the plates this close to coming in.

Any word on the polymer T81 furniture ??

We are currently working on bringing prototype production in house. We are currently in the process of building our production shop and we are trying our best to push the T81 furniture forward. I apologize for the delay but we have had to move this project to the back burner while we have been bringing in the plates and russian equipment.
