Battle of the bullpups! Type 97 vs Tavor... which is your pick?

I had both , loved the ergos of the Tavor but liked the T97 more (especially with the TFU from M14 & now the LHG on the way ) . Traded away the tavor for a kriss vector .
 
I like them both but only handled them in the store I do like the trigger on the T97 it surprise the hell out off me LOL
 
Since I am a student and cannot afford a $2700 rifle (without optics) I chose the T97. I love it, try it before you bash it. It will surprise you!

Yeah I bought this and it works (stops the Tavor eye), good product.

As someone who owns both I can say that the $3 matzah ball soup was excellent but the 99cent wonton special tasted great and was quite filling.
 
if money wasn't an issue Both and a couple of PCC's (JRC and CX4)
but since it is id take the t97 now, have handled both at my LGS's
 
Interesting question between the two, but not a fair one. Ah well, it lets us fill more space on the forum! lol
Better weapon vs 3 of the other for the price...I bet the decision would be easier if the poll was done on a range. Isn't always about feel anyway? I have shot a $2300 Kimber rig and hated it. What good is your weapon if it fits you wrong?
 
As a right handed shooter, and as former owner of the Tavor and current owner ot the T97, I'd give my vote to the T97.

It is true that the T97 is inferior to the Tavor in most aspects (ergonomics, looks, practicality, etc,), but with the going price of a Tavor (±2750$) compared to the price of a T97 (±1000$), I do not think that the Tavor is 2.7 times better than the T97.

Bang-for-your-buck, T97, even if I find it inferior to the Tavor on all aspects except for the pricing.
 
The tavor gets my vote!

It seems to be a better thought out platform in a lot of areas... mag, safety, the weight distribution among others is why the tavor got my vote. I also don't buy Chinese!

Maybe you guys will remember me and maybe you won't...In late November this passed year I refused to shoot the norinco .45 acp at your range when I was visiting Edmonton. I really don't like supporting the Chinese weapon industry!
 
Tavor all the way. That said if the mag release was redesigned to work like the original Type 95 or the Tavor and the selector switch was updated to whats currently on the Type 95s, the 97 would steal the show.
 
The Hebrew Hammer for sure...... . If you have $1100 saved up for the T97.... save a bit more because when you do eventually get it, it's so worth the wait.

The T97 is pretty decent still, as long as it's reliable and accurate thats what counts.
