Battle of the bullpups! Type 97 vs Tavor... which is your pick?

I like the t97, I think it feels better. And I'm not rich enough to afford a 2500 gun of any type. Even if I could I don't think the tavor offers a 2.5 times better gun for 2.5x price. However, if I was going to war and had to supply my own weapon, I would go with tavor.

This is a pointless thread. As many have said, there is no comparison between these two weapons. I would choose neither and buy an HK.

Owning a Tavor myself, I definitely prefer it in pretty much every way
I dont mind the FTU t97 but I just really dont like the mag release and safety on it

With respect to both firearms, they both have their own merrits.

I would buy the Tavor....shoot it for a while and wished I spent less and gone with the T97.

I've shot both and the Tavor is just too much for my budget.

I was fortunate enough to shoot both before I decided on which one I wanted to buy...

Ended up with a Tavor.

I also converted one of my co-workers, He selling his T97 and buying a tavor as well... He used to say the Tavor sucked, But had never shot one... Typical mindset of people on this forum... lol...

I had a very difficult time deciding myself which gun to buy! I bought both. Then found norc ammo to feed the all star pair. Norinco T97 is without question the best dollar value.

There is this old guy at my club says he would never buy Norinco Garbage, but I have seen some Norc's that are just as good as all the other Chinese manufactured American labeled garbage out there. I think the days of calling

Chinese stuff Garbage are coming to the same demise as the old adage plastic garbage from the '70's.

The Chinese have stole a lot of our manufacturing practices and in some cases improved on them, the modern day Norc is a far cry from the Norc's of old

I agree the type 97 needs a TON of improvements to be in the same league as the tavor. T97 is completely outclassed on this one

T97 with FTU and right side charging handle works awesome absolutely no complaints.
Bought my T97 with FTU for 800. ammo, optic and a metal 5/7 beowolf mag + the gun was still cheaper then the Tavor and im still hitting the gong at 175 10/10 everytime

Another thread of "Preaching to the converted". The Tavor will be adapted by many more countries, however their is no comparison of the numbers of which bullpup rifles will be produced.

I'd say no to both,
the only bullpup I want is this, no matter how long it's gonna take(probably forever)to get into canada,
forward ejection, quick change barrel, quick caliber swap from 5.56 to 7.62 (barrel+bolt+mag change),
and most importantly to me, AR like trigger.
if I'm only allowed 2 rifles, DT MDR + DT Covert is all I ever need.
