My MH is shooting about 1 moa fairly consistently, I'm sure it could do better if I put some more effort into load development but I'm using Hornady SST projectiles so I can hunt with it if I choose to and I'd say that the flyers I experience are more likely my fault than the rifles fault. I'm sure that with some higher quality projectiles and maybe a different powder along with someone better than I am behind the trigger the rifle would perform consistently sub 1 moa.

I've said it many times and since Rick has even mentioned that in one persons hands a rifle wouldn't shoot better than 2 moa then they sell it and it magically shoots 1 moa or less for the new owner that it's more related to the person behind the trigger than the rifle itself.
People don't realize how hard it is to consistently shoot sub moa, especially with a semi auto. Just because a person buys a rifle capable of it doesn't mean they'll see it perform to it's peak, ammo selection, shooter ability, ambient conditions all factor in.
Just like if they put you in a formula one race car and put you in a race, the car is capable of winning but you're going to be the limiting factor and chances are high that you'll hit the wall on the outside of the first corner. Also keep in mind that many of the guys complaining about the accuracy later let slip that they were not using quality ammo so back to the race car analogy you're now running on regular unleaded and the computer is retarding your ignition to prevent detonation which further handicaps your car.

Guess that's why your modern hunter shoots well since it's 2nd hand? That doesn't explain Jerry's results or would he have to buy it first to get the - 1.5 moa modifier? Blaming the shooter is a lame excuse. Don't get me wrong I'm sure some people don't know how to shoot or use ####ty ammo but I've had a lot friend who used small base dies, great components measured to the kernel and shoots other rifles 0.1 moa who had the same results as Jerry. Limit yourself to 2 shot groups and you'll get great results...

If lots of people are getting flyers then there's something wrong and it's likely not the shooter everytime

I'd much rather have a rifle that I can drop in the parts I KNOW for sure are top quality than some proprietary thing hyped as being top quality

Really... so they post specs of a product, they post pictures of that product, and then make changes to what it is I thought I was buying. sorry, that doesn't work for me. How hard is it to communicate with the customer, ya know the person who had to shell out +$1800 before it's even built. At no time did anyone mention changes, other than the ambi bolt realease. If you walked into a restaurant and paid for your meal up front and what they brought to your table was not was on the menu you wouldn't accept that. So why the fu@k should I accept that for a $1800 rifle.

Contract, go look up advertising , then go look up misrepresentation. False advertising, bait and switch, or maybe we'll just call it typical pathetic NEA BS. Ya it's still NEA, they just changed the letter head. So ya, I'm going to say my piece. Don't like it, then go to the SFRC forum and suck up to them like so many others.

I am not as angry, but agree, there is no way that SFRC didn't know the changes, and if they didn't, well that is just outrageous.
How can you sell something, but deliver something different? Go into a dealership ordering a Honda, and end up with a KIA, because some salesman said," shut your whining up, this is better for you, because I say so, it's still a car isn't it!?"

I think we all should get a phone call asking if we still want the purchase or a refund before shipping.

I just can't believe this is going out as a GEN 2, WITHOUT testing, and everyone is fine with this!
No wonder Trudeau is expected to see 3 terms! We are complete idiot pushovers here!

I bet if you plead your case to SFRC you’d get a full refund. I also bet nobody has even asked.

These are pretty regular, the Hybrid 100V load was 10 rounds and I wasn't really taking my time. It was pretty consistently doing 1.5moa or better with that load then I switched to Varget and was pleasantly surprised. I found this load and it has done 5 round groups like this three times in a row now so I built another 30 of them so I could take it hunting if needed but now that hunting season is over I'll hopefully find time to test a little more soon. I felt that was pretty good for an SST projectile and figure if I switch to an A-max it would probably tighten up a little more. I've only ever tried the 129SST in my 6.5CM so far so there must be room for improvement with some good projectiles.

I blame the shooter and ammo because I can't figure any other reason why others have so much trouble with their rifle, I have three other friends with MH's and they all get good results hovering around 1 moa or slightly better. I don't think any of them have done much more than I have with mine. Pick a "decent" projectile and do some pretty basic load development and be happy when it's good enough to hunt with and have fun. I'm sure this coming summer we'll all put some more effort into really nailing down a good load. We're all happy with our purchases and all understand that it's actually a lot harder to shoot a semi auto as accurately as a bolt action so we don't get too upset when we can find 0.5 moa loads for our precision bolt action rifles but only get 1 moa from a semi. With more development and more practice I'm sure those groups will shrink. All I really know is that this rifle is capable of more than I am and it has so far been 100% reliable with my handloads, I don't use small base dies, I don't anneal, I don't turn necks, I just tumble, size/de-cap, trim, prime, load to just shy of what fits in the magazine. Nothing else, no voodoo, no magic spells, the rifle just performs the same every shot as long as I do what I'm supposed to do behind the trigger.
