Got a chance to start breaking in my Bison, unfortunately I did not have any heavy .223 ammo, only 5O and 55 grain and at 50 yards. This gun absolutely HATED Russian 62 grain Wolf ammo, won't even post the group, as I am used one hole 100 yard groups will my Savage. Did okay with 50 grain HP American Eagle, and 55 grain Dillon 55 grain FMJ blasting ammo reloads. I know after break in and using 77 grain ammo, it will provide awesome groups as the more I shot the BCL the more the groups tightened up.

If I can hit a dime 4 out of 5 shots at 50 yards I am good, but the POI did change between the 50 and 55 grain ammo.
The Bison has a 12.5" 1 in 7 twist barrel, after 100 rounds thru the Bison groups started tightening up, love the trigger but man is it LIGHT! Blast is nasty, it is so beefy with the barrel and aluminum stock, feels very different to my Savage or my buddy's Ruger Ranch rifle. The action is breaking in on the Bison but not as smooth as my Savage, but I can feel it working itself in.
At the gun counter, the Bison drew attention, people mentioned it's heft and beefiness. My Savage a has a bedded Accustock which is like most poly type rifles, but the Bison's aluminum fore end and AR stock provides a much different feel than the Rugers and Savages I have handled. The 12.5" barrel gives up a little velocity and I would trade this for the handiness of a short metal package. All AR magazines cycle great, no extraction issues, recoil was minimal, all in all nice package to shoot. My concern is what happens to all the rifles using AR magazines if Trudeau goes after them? BCL is about to release their own Bison only magazines.
After shooting the Bison I will be selling my trusty Savage, and not looking at any rifles with hollow poly stocks.
Here are some early 50 yard groups, next will be 100 and 200 yard groups for this keeper, but with AR mags I did notice groups open up as the barrel heats up.
