BCL PX19 Foxbat

That's a shadow systems barrel so they obviously just ordered barrels from shadow systems instead of making their own in-house barrel. Which may explain why it didn't come threaded. They probably thought they would rather get the guns out to everyone instead of making them wait any longer.

I think making barrels is a specialized process that not every machine shop has the capabilities to just make them.

I got mine. Initial impressions seem promising but I haven’t been to the range yet so I don’t have much of an opinion.

I’m happy to see some of you finally getting these, i absolutely hate the look of the grip but I’m sure those of you who bought them are very happy to have them in your hand.

I received an email indicating that the plates will be forthcoming to all that purchased one.

By chance have you tried to remove the cover plate and install a Leupold DPP? Asking as it appears BCL has that optic on the pistol in quite a few of their advertising pics, and it looks like the 2 bolts could line up

No I have not removed the cover plate. My optic of choice is the Holosun 507 ACSS. You are correct the Leupold appears to be the go to optic on the Foxbat in their photos. It was even on the prototype at TACCOM. I have a photo that I will look for to confirm there was no plate.

I handled a PX19 today. The ergonomics were very nice. As for optic mounting, you just need a Glock MOS mounting plate compatible with your specific optic.

todays correspondence:
BCL: "your pistol has been sent to the distributor"
North Sylva: "we don't have your pistol or any record of it on file under the vendor you purchased from"
Me: *shaking my head* "great"

You do realize maybe the dealer made a mistake and there were a lot of mistakes during that rush of pistol sales done by many dealers

gadget

I do understand that mistakes happen but it has been one "mistake" after another. Conflicting information from the manufacturer, vendor and distributor essentially chasing their tail in circles. With only 65, or so, of these being built you'd think keeping track of them wouldn't be a problem. I have been very patient, and always tried to give BCL the benefit of the doubt, but have recently become rather annoyed to hear that no one seems to know where my pistol is.

After some back and forth, with all parties, we finally tracked down my PX19 and I took delivery of it this AM. Having already held one, I knew that it fit my hands well and am pleased to finally bring it home. Unfortunately, as others have stated, it did not come with a threaded barrel nor any optic mounting plates as was/is advertised. I was under the false impression that Glock MOS plates would work. Here you can see the holes for the Leupold DPP mounting plate do not line up with the holes in the slide. Have reached out to BCL for an update on availability of optic plates and will report back when I hear more.

Too bad they didn't drill if for multiple mounting options...for the price and considering the time they had to develop this pistol, it is another let down in the BCL saga.
