BCRA Tactical Rifle rules and Course of Fire 2008

Might be a little bit of a trick to balance it on the "roof top" senario, I will come just to see you pull that one off.

Whats the elevation at the range Mike?....or anyone else who happens to know.

From looking at maps it appears to be at 315 m elevation.
Also on June 21 at 49 05' N, 121 41' W sunrise will be at 05:02 and sunset at 21:15. The mountains to the west may make it "set" earlier.

I'm all in for this. i've been asked to be a guys partner who has shot these matches before..... i've never done anything like this..... will be fun.
Question..... where can a guy go to practice this type of shooting? I don't want to be restricted by short ranges and 1 round rules at some of our local ranges..... is there access for bcra associate members to practice at volks?

There are scheduled practice sessions and "Dust off" matches at Vokes you can go to................BUT, You have to have a Full BCRA membership in order to shoot these sessions...........

The Associate membership only allows you to shoot the " Regional/Provincial Championship" matches..................You also will be shooting with other disciplines (IE: Target rifle) at these sessions and have to take your turn pulling targets in the butts...............

Mission R&G is the longest range in our area..............

so I would need the full DCRA/BCRA membership? Is that the 125.00 one?
If it get's me into the volks range to practice and such.... I'm all in :D

Do I read correctly that 6.5x55mm is not permitted?

Used to be in the BCRA, but let it lapse years ago. Is there a thread somewhere with all the info for getting back in?

You can shoot it in the Open Class, but it is not allowed in the Precision/Tactical class...................

Is the Volks range an approved range or do I have to get a short term ATT to take restricteds there?

Yes, Vokes is an apporved range.Your ATT is good to go there.................
