BCRA Tactical Rifle rules and Course of Fire 2008

What do you need? There are lots of us who will help.

Indeed. Before asking for help on here I should have asked the people I know.

One thing I don't seemed to find a reference on is: What restriction on pistol and pistol ammo?

I know for service rifle its 9mm or nothing, but here it doesn't seem to be specified.

For the three gun, we aren't fussy in that area. As long as it is in the range template of 22-45cal. I am fine with it. In the future this may change, but it is such a small part of the big picture and currently I have bigger fish to fry.

Thanks Parker Hale Mike.

Does the DCRA still sell life memberships and for how much?

They are a good idea for both parties: savings for the member and Association gets a whack of cash up front they can invest and compound over time.

What about 6.5x55 BTW?

Yes the BCRA/DCRA still sells the lifetime membership, it is on a sliding scale based on age. PM me your email address and I will send you the membership form pdf as it explains it quite well.

What about 6.5x55 BTW?

The reason there are no 243, 260, 6.5x55, 6x284, 6.5x284 or AI cartridges etc. is we have tried to keep this a simple match where all of the calibres are on an equal playing field and it comes down to operator not wallet, although there are some that are trying the wallet approach in a round about way.

Well folks, We are currently at three times the paid entries that we had by this point last year. I thought I would also remind everyone that May 15th is the cutoff to get the free T-shirt with your entry. If you are coming from out of town the barracks fee is listed on the entry form. The bunks are being allocated on a "first to pay first to stay" policy so don't wait too long.

Mike have you received my entry yet? I sent it out the same day I mailed some IPSC forms off, and ended up having to remail those forms as they never arrived.

Right now we are at 26 paid, 25% of those have never shot this match. 11 of the 26 are from out of province/country.

Get your entries in as it makes it easier to plan the logistics of how the match is run.

You now have 15 days until the T-shirt and marker cutoff.

If you show up and want to pay on the day of the match there is going to be a $35 fee added on top of the normal entry to cover your share of the marker I will have provided for you due to your poor planning. Last year there were 16 people who paid on the day of the match and all of them knew they were coming months in advance.

I am contemplating a pre pay system for next year so you just show up, we take a role call, I give you a match shirt and tell you what target and relay your team is on, we do the safety speech and off we go. This will eliminate the silly bugger element that causes such turmoil in the morning
