BCRA Tactical Rifle rules and Course of Fire 2008

Thanks SKBY I will give laz a call see if wants to partner up again
Btw I heard that Mike and his partner were going to fall asleep again this year on the firing lines

Good job on the shirt!

Mike should make this a full time job,,,,,,,,,,,,:D (This close to the match that has to be a sick joke)!!

If this job paid me anything instead of costing me money I would love to run matches every month.

No, this year should be okay. I think we are going to be back on track this year. We had to borrow another rifle as Brian's took a dump. It is another factory Winchester Stealth, we'll see how it does angainst the $10,000 .308's :D.

if anyone has a USB printer (and drivers for it on a flash card) that would be great too. we have a laptop coming and hopefully someone can quickly do up a simple spreadsheet for scoring. I can probably muddle my way through it Friday night if need be.

Joe says he has a USB printer with drivers.

Anyone have a couple spare chamber flags?

Jim.

I'll check (frack I forgot I need one!). but there may be some available at the match.

This last one I just had to put in. We were lucky enough to be right next to the Vancouver ERT shooters. :D :dancingbanana:

just got home. night shoot was fun. love the clarity of the S&B and the adjustable lighted reticle. heard a few NF owners #####ing about their illumination.
I have a ton of pics, and plan on taking more tomorrow, but won't have a chance to upload till next week.

an update, after a good long sleep (hope Mike had one too, and didn't wake up with too bad of a hangover ;)).

This years match was the best yet, 28 teams, and tons of cool gear on the line. There were, of course, a couple small problems, but this match ran smoother than any I can remember, with less challenges (yes I lost mine) and less pissing and moaning, then any match, of any type, that I've even been too. Mike Cook deserves a massive thanks for this match. The various stages were all excellent (my fave was the agony match and the sling match [thanks Stan!). we had an excellent mix of weather too. hot sun, clouds, rain (light and hard), cool air, mirage.......... you name it. other than snow we saw it over too days. definitely makes guys have to work to get their rounds into the targets. That some guys actually got some of the groups they did is amazing. it really shows that practice and skill can get you somewhere.
it was really nice to see more police and military there this year (and of course to drool over their kit, that bloody can was the wrong size for Sako).
Iamsharkbait and PJ (sorry if that's not the right username for you Paul) did a great job painting the roofs. Hopefully they'll last longer than the previous.
I'm still a bit burned out and have a ton to do. But I am going to upload the rest of my pics, and then burn them to a cd or dvd. If anyone wants one let me know, I've got tons. I intend Mike some so he can send them out to the various sponsors of the event. And don't forget to send your thanks to those people either, without them we wouldn't have all gotten the cool stuff we did at the end of two long days.

What A GREAT Shoot!
I had a good time, Thanks to Mike and all the guys who helped him run this so well.
I look forward to the net one.
another awesome thing with this shoot was that EVERY team walked away with some great prizes, I felt like a kid at Christmas:D

The shoot was a great weekend! Learned a lot so we'll be better prepared for next year!

Mike, job well done! Thank you for all the work that went into this!

Looking forward to next year and better scores!

I have to echo the thoughts of Slavex, what an absolute blast this comp was. It was a huge learning experiance and even the areas I needed to work on I have fun.
I was also nice to see the social aspect of these matches take shape, putting faces to board names is always nice.

Finally, shooting beside Slavex and Skullboy was a treat! thanks again for an entertaining weekend!

We finally touched down in Calgary after a 900km drive and I'm proud to say, NO TICKETS!!!!!

Thanks Mike, on behalf of Alberta Tactical Rifle for putting a ton of work into another awesome match. I bragged it up all this last year and I'm positive the new attendees are hooked for the upcoming years to come.

Last year my partner and I placed 17th. This year 3rd in civilian class, and I realized I've still got a ton of practice and learning on my hands. Thanks again for helping me to realize this.

Slavex, I'll definitely take a copy of your pics and share them with the guys out here if that's cool.

Yes, It was a blast this year................:D :dancingbanana:;) :sniper:

A big Thx to Mike for another great shoot, and all those who helped out with the match.:)

Another BIG Thx. to the Businesses that donated the great prizes for the match......:D .........There was some pretty cool SWAG on the prize tables this year............There were enough prizes so that everyone who shot the match went home with something...............which is great as it encourages more shooters to come back and new shooters to come out.

It was a Sh*ts & Giggles fest shoot beside bigmatty & BC_Guy............:p ;) :runaway::slap: .................we'll have to squad up side by side again next year!!!!

SKBY.
