Why don't we have a debate on bear baiting in a separate thread... instead of hijacking other members threads with this contentious issue???
dumbdawg said:wow you guys are lucky then.in 20+ years of hunting deer on our land i'v seen a grand total of 2 bears
within the next few years......i will take one of them kind offers to go on a great huntbone-collector said:well one day you and that foggy fellow make yer way to BC and we will show you bears, heck we just came in the door from testing the kids race quad and saw 4 bears thismorning and just about lit one up with a 250cc 2 stroke haha
If I could see 20-30 bears in an entire season I would never bait again. Takes alot of time, money, and work to run bait sites but it is the only way in our area to see bears.bone-collector said:well yes its true we cannot bait bears in BC but I do know from a relative afar that a gunnysack with bananas and molasses works rather well hanging from a tree , as for bear hunting and I think I can speek for Moosehunter as well we can go out any given evening and count 20-30 bears in our area without even trying so baiting here would be a waste of time IMHO

dw said:ooooooh, Iv'e been hitWell you could do this in BC, but most of us have favorite spots we drive to then walk certain areas. Some bears hear that truck and run like hell. Go figure
Baiting seems like a hell of a lot of work

Sounds like a plan!dw said:Made them the same offer myself. No need to fight over them though. You can take them, I will take Mommabear, she is easier on the eyesBut she has to bring a jar of her "World Famous Hot Peppers" Although after eating those I could breathe on a bear from 50yrds and no shot required.
