Lots of fail in this thread.
Yep Razorback is allow to be in Canada, however, regardless the length of barrel, it will be restricted since you are using it with your AR15 lower.
1. The Razorback cannot withstand classification,
since it is not a firearm in itself,
at least as of today,
since normally it cannot fire by itself.
You can put one in the backpack and go in the woods.
It is not a firearm.
2.
If in the future it will be classed as a firearm in itself,
barrel length becomes VERY important,
since it greatly contributes to the OAL of the host firearm.
3. Even if it stays legally as a non-firearm,
if one day some business will decide to make LOTS of money,
they can try to make one to be adapted on a gun that is
normally non-restricted (Swiss, XCR, ACR, ISSG/SCAR, AR180, Rhineland, etc.),
then they will realize how important the barrel length is, because,
as I said above, it greatly contributes to the OAL of the host firearm.
*Note: in addition, on some of the above firearms,
it will have to replace serialized upper receivers of the initial guns
These would never be allowed into the country. they need the auto sear of an m16 to function. I don`t think too many semi colts with an outo sear are available in canada.
It would be great if someone could make an upper run an american 180 magazine or a calico mag right nere in canada. Or for that matter a whole rifle with either of those magazines.
If you are talking about the upper,
at least one of these uppers as in the youtube I have posted IS in Canada.
It is not a firearm, as it cannot fire by itself. It
needs the lower in order to fire.
Speaking of which, it can be made to work on semi lowers.
Altough no longer in production, these uppers can be modded
(with a lot of work) to be switched between open bolt / closed bolt.
