Benelli M4 vs Clones

North Sylva deleted my post and locked their thread because they cant handle the truth so I'll post it in this thread since it's in response to the exact same video.

I've dealt with thousands of Turkish firearms while working in the industry and I've dealt directly with the factories in Turkey producing these firearms.

Bolt faces and bolt lugs cracking/shearing off.
Broken extractors/springs breaking or where they attach cracks/breaks,
Rails the bolt carrier slides on are poorly machined or parts cracking/shearing off from less than 100 rounds of use.
Internal dimensions of the receivers are out of spec and sometimes warped.
Rough machining inside the receivers causing the BCG's to drag causing FTL's or FTE's.
Many parts are made of mystery alloy metals with very poor heat treatment.
Poor quality anodizing and chrome lining of barrels where some have a long scratch down the entire length of the barrel.
Poorly cut chambers with tooling marks still visible.
Rear sight screw holes stripped or cross threaded from someone forcing them in.
EVERY single part of the trigger groups have failed solely or in combination with other parts of the trigger packs, weak sprigs or springs with different spring rates.
Improperly sized gas ports, partially drilled, gas ports blocked, gas port burrs not cleaned up.

There is absolutely no god damn way a Turkish M4 clone can hold a candle at all to a real Benelli M4 any day of the week, it doesn't matter how much flair you slap on it the bones of the clone are made from cursed mystery metal which is best described as "Chinesium".

Now watching people blatantly shill the garbage Turkish products their friends stores are importing in mass and trying to flood the market with because people should be grateful these are still for sale just really pisses me off.

Not all of the Turkish firearms develop problems but you have to be well aware that you are purchasing something made without certainty compared to many other options that are available.

The failure rate of Turkish firearms are just way too high to recommend any of them with a a clear conscious.

It cost peanuts to produce Turkish made shotguns and they sell for easily 200-300% profit margins on average.

If you just want a casual looks cool gun your life doesn't have to depend on go for it but realistically expect something to probably go wrong by the time you hit 500 rounds through it.

Sourcing replacement parts may be tricky as well if retailers don't have a pile of broken guns on hand to pull spare parts off of to repair yours.

We’ve spent plenty of time behind the Benelli M4, Panzer M4 Speed Pro, and Canuck Tac Op — now it’s time to put the OG up against the clones.

Is the Benelli still worth the premium, or have the M4 clones finally closed the gap?

Why don’t you just answer that question in the post and put everything here I’m sure people would be interest in reading very biased reviews.

Not shill a monetized YouTube video.

🤣😂OK my guy, time to put down the reefer.

I have no relations to the video other than posting it.

Do I need to actually start putting notices😉

Im not a fan of the original or the clones but the last 3 real benelli m4s ive shot could not finish a round of skeet with out issues

Its called the "benelli click" for a reason I guess

Like anything and everything else. We want cheaper things so the industry outsources to cheaper labor. Spain Belgium Italy China they've all had their turn and tarnishes. Now itailian is said to be great and whats left of the Spanish makers make top end and Belgium gives us brownings that everyone says to buy.
Turkey can build great guns just not many want to pay a premium for a Turkish made gun
What I can say is the couple times I needed warrenty on a cheap Turkish gun I had the parts mailed to me for free and a gun fixed with shipping both ways paid and had the gun returned in 7 days. Aint gunna get that with stoeger

If I wanted one of them I would buy the original firearm - not knocking all turkish made firearms have two of them. A Girsan MC-312 clearned it before using it and I can fire five rapid fire rounds without any hick ups. Also have a Charles Daley 410 o/u aside from the heavy trigger (which I prefer) on a field hunting shotgun it works well.

I have a Canuck Tacop Elite, one of the more 'popular' Turknelli clones I guess.

I've only put about 100-150 rounds through it from new, so it's barely broken in, and the only issues I've had were 3 FTE. Those were the first 3 rounds I fired from new.

I have no doubt the $3k original will outperform my $900 clone over the years, but I would never pay $3k for what is essentially a range toy for me. But man is it a fun toy...

Just my 2 cents.

You can enjoy shooting skeet with a sighted shotgun? I personally can't stand them, but that's just me. I very much enjoy a short barrelled shotgun (18-21") for skeet or trap, but can't tolerate sights.

I dont like sites for skeet personally but I can shoot them. As well as red dots and reflex sights. I mostly use a 21" 1301 comp and a 30" 688 right now but I mix it up with various vintage sxs guns and other fun guns. Not all that long ago I used a sulun 211 ou with 9.8" and full chokes and short stock for skeet. Only shot a 19 but the squad kept me laughing the entire round and I suck when im laughing

Are the benellies made from better materials? My clone works fine. Would a benelli work better than fine? Fan boys are not the best reviews. What was wrong with the quality Paul?

The guy eating the tip of a #####-shaped cookie with FOC's logo on it really tells you eveything you need to know.

The trigger group in my Turkish one was garbage. Gritty and it could be pulled back on a slight angle instead of straight back (hard to explain without feeling it).

I’m no gunsmith, but the Benelli definitely feels like it will last while the Turkish one I just knew had a shortened lifespan before issues arose.

  • Stoeger, a brand owned by the Beretta Group (which also owns Benelli), manufactures its shotguns in Turkey, but these are distinct from Benelli-branded firearms.
I guess Italy makes better guns for some reason
