Beretta 96 magazine in a 92 pistol ???

.40S&W is 10mm. its based on the 10mm auto cartridge. The FBI were going to use it when they transitioned from revolvers, but new recruits and smaller operators were not used to the recoil from 10mm after using .38Sp revolvers, so they chopped it off and made .40S&W.

if you don't think 9mm is significantly smaller than .40Smith, then do two things. First realize that .40 and .45 are only 0.05 of an inch different. Then go put a 9mm empty case inside a .40S&W one. :)

Damn, don't u just hate how clumsy you can get sometimes. Lol

I had the same problem. I also have the problem of being supremely clumsy. I was practicing mag changes in my basement (unloaded, of course) and I must've dropped the damn thing a dozen times! Right on the feed lips... I must've "broken in" the mag , because she fits 13 rounds and cycles nicely ;)

In all seriousness though, if you tinker with the feed lips a bit, you're not going to jail. It still fits ten (no more than ten) rounds of .40 S&W right? So you haven't modified the magazine beyond it's designed purpose. I've got some magazines at home that needed this treatment (aftermarket M14 mags...) and they're not all of the sudden prohibited...

It will not work in the CX4 storm. I can definitely verify that. The bolt pulls two rounds out of the mag jamming the gun.

That being said anybody interested in a brand new mec gar 40 mag.

Try the factory Beretta 96 mags. The mecgar mags feed lips are too far apart and don't like to be bent. You get double feeds ...

In order to tell my factory 96's and 92's apart I have to read the stamps ...
