beretta or glock

I've owned both the Beretta and the Glock. I found both easy to field strip and look after. The Glock to me is a little more simple to look after in terms of function and the accessories one can get for it. I did find the Beretta was a softer shooting gun. Ultimately all I can say is try both of them and see with one fits your hand better. If it doesn't "fit" you it won't be as much fun to shoot.

The trigger is why its not a good IPSC gun. That first trigger pull is DA and then every one after is SA, which is not good for IPSC. Plus it has a safety that will have to be engaged according to IPSC rules. The glock is just draw and shoot, same trigger pull each time.
I know this is an old thread and all but in Production you only need to decock the gun and start in DA for first shot. but you dont keep the safety on. Most popular gun in devision right now is CZ shadow which is also SA/DA so I guess that DA first shot is not that big of a deal.

SPringfield XD anyone? I have a glock, beretta, sig and xd in my 9mm collection amd JMO but the XD is the one I go for first , they all have their pros and cons but that XD has never had one failure of any kind with about 6000 rounds down the tube using anything I feed it. Just sayin.....

if those are your two options i would go with beretta. I hate glocks with a passion, from my point of view they are over priced POS that only sells guns because of a name.
I had one fall apart in my hands at the range, it wasn't mine since i would never buy one.

Cant believe i'm defending a Glock, but they made a name for themselves selling their guns. I have 2 myself  (how did that happen??) and they are simple solid guns. do they cost $700 to make? hell no maybe $70? And while they have nothing on Beretta in terms of craftsmanship and looks/elegance, they are still good working guns. All they meant to be is an inexpensive to manufacture, light object capable of reliable firing ammunition and they succeeded.

Hi guy I just want to know what is the best between the beretta FS92 and the GLOCK 17 and for why is the best, because I dont know witch one I gotta buy

please help me!!!

Could somewhat depend on what you own already. I can vouch for the Glock 17, it is a great gun. Very simple to shoot, field strip, clean, etc.

Ive owned both(only have the Glock now)

They are both very well made ,reliable and accurate guns.Having said that,as much as I tried,I never could get to like the Beretta,it always felt as if I was shooting a 2X4,and a top heavy one at that.I also didnt like the trigger, found it pretty mushy.Still,it comes down to personal choice

Pro for the Glock is that it is cheaper, parts are more readily available than the beretta and you dont need the gun to go to a gunsmith to work on it(I never could get myself to completely strip my beretta with its multitude of little springs, parts etc),I also think that the Glock would stand up to more shooting than the beretta

One only needs to go to a IPSC shoot to see the numbers of glocks vs berettas to get an idea as to what is more popular

They are apples and oranges - Yes, they are both fruit, but VERY different, otherwise.

As already said, you MUST try them both before you buy.

Neither is at the top of my personal "must buy" list.

I like Beretta more but I have two G17, one black and the OD one is on the way to me, the dealer just send me a tracking number. I still don't understand why I spend another $600 for one more gun that I used to hate the most.

Get both!! My first gun was a Gen 3 Glock 17. My second gun is an Italian made Inox Beretta 92FS.

The Glock is very reliable and accurate, easy to learn and use, easy to modify and is also relatively cheap.

The Beretta is also very reliable and accurate, takes a bit of practice to get used to but is still more accurate than I will ever be.

The Beretta is a beautiful gun and has been on my "must have" list for years and I got it this year.

They are both keepers in my opinion :D

The largest most powerful military in the west issues the Beretta and has not seen fit to switch to Glock.

I've owned Glock 17's and two 92FS's. I still have a beretta - no glock.

Both are good choices - Ignore anyone who tells you either is sub-par. I'd try both out at a range day and choose whichever feels better to you.

I have never been a fan of Beretta - probably because of the Neos. Last week I had the opportunity to put a box downrange using a Beretta Px4 SD (.45). I was definitely impressed, and Beretta has earned a second look from me.

I'm going to echo what others have already said - get out to a range and try both.

I held both the other day and liked the glock feeling. I then held a CZ shadow and knew that was the gun for me so I purchased :)

I love both really. The Glock fits my hand better but still both great guns. Whats a great gun to one guy could be crap to someone else, so your gonna have to try them yourselves.

I have never been able to get comfortable with the safety on the trigger with the glock. I have always found it distracting. For me it's always been High power, Baretta, 1911, just a traditionalist I guess.
