I've owned both the Beretta and the Glock. I found both easy to field strip and look after. The Glock to me is a little more simple to look after in terms of function and the accessories one can get for it. I did find the Beretta was a softer shooting gun. Ultimately all I can say is try both of them and see with one fits your hand better. If it doesn't "fit" you it won't be as much fun to shoot.
