I have a Buckmark Contour and a Ruger Mark III 22/45, both good but I prefer the Buckmark. Ruger Mark IV is as good as Mark III with the takedown as a winning factor. Cleaning both the Buckmark and Ruger Mark III are on same level, you just have to get the feel of both. GSG 1911/Sig Sauer 1911 .22 are identical. Value for money, and good aftersales support and upgrade parts are good. Colt 1911 .22 and Browning 1911 .22 also feels good and feels like better built than the cheaper GSG/Sig Sauer, but costs a little more. Glock is also available in .22 or in conversion kits. CZ Kadet or its conversion kit for CZ 75/58 is rock solid. There are very good older conversion kits for 1911s. But expect to pay premium if you can find one in the used market or even a new unit. Revolvers are also worth exploring. Ruger, S&W, Alfa Project etc. They even come in 2-cylinder package .22/22 mag or with an optional 22 mag cylinder which can be purchased separately. I would suggest, try any of the available pistols or revolvers from friends or members of your club. Bring your own ammo. As some pistols/revolvers are ammo picky, get some .22 HV and .22 SV ammo and ask the owner which ammo he prefers to be used. Federal Automatch, CCI Minimag and SV, Blazer, Winchester M22 feeds good with most of the pistols I used. Match grade ammos are definitely more reliable and accurate but costs a little more. Try as much available pistols and revolvers you can. Grip and Sight you have to consider before you decide on what suits your need.
