Best 9mm for $700 or under

Have they managed to fix the problem of the M&P mag bases detonating when dropped?

That is what made me move to the G17 for my two kids.

Yep, S&W has dealt with it. the newer mags don't suffer from the same brittle plastic bases as the older ones. The way to tell the difference is that the older mags have a black base while the newer ones have more of a dark gray base.

You can shoot all mentioned above then shoot a glock, you will only want a glock, very simple decision!
:puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:

I tried the Glock and hated it. Try any gun before you buy (if not the actual gun at least the same model). There are a lot of good guns out there and they are not necessarily good for everyone.

Consider what are the benefits of a gun and the drawbacks. I like a gun with a little more weight compared to the typical modern service gun. We are there to shoot not to carry a gun all day every day. Consider the balance and how it feels in your hand pointed down range.

Glock is very reliable and almost trouble free but this gun is just not for everyone. Some hate the feeling of the grip, some hate the ass looking and some hate the trigger. I have both CZ 75B and G17, for me the G17 has better control and grouping than the CZ but CZ feel much more comfortable when shoot. M&P is also a very nice gun. These three guns are the best buy for a 9mm for about the same price range. Try them out.

I'm a new pistol shooter myself; I went with a Glock and now wish I had of went with a M&P, BUT I'm a lefty and the M&P has a slide release on both sides. Also, I think the M&P with it's interchangeable back straps fits the hand a little nicer; I shot one at the range the other day and am now considering selling my Glock and getting the M&P.

CHEROY;
A little patience would be well rewarded, we will be launching our new line of high quality handguns in a few days....

Just to elaborate a bit on why I would say a 9mm Bul Storm is the best buy under 700 bucks. Practically every singe person that has shot my wife's Bul Storm has said they wanted to buy one. Not only is it obvious from the point you feel it and take it apart that it is built with excellent quality. When you hold it it fits like a glove and I have never shot a more accurate and reliable pistol. It has yet to jam or have any failure whatsover and wifey/myself have put a thousand rounds through it including a CDP course.
My wife's Bul Storm is amazing - $600.

If you're a man, Glock 17, if you have fragile effeminate hands and an affinity for laced panties and complaining about grips on a service gun - the M&P will suit you just fine.

If you need a firearm to prove that you have testosterone in your system, buy a Glock. Better yet, buy a 1911 in 10mm and hold it in your teeth when you fire it.:jerkit: Don't forget to sneer at anyone firing anything more with less muzzle energy than your pistol.

If you're secure in your masculinity and don't feel threatened because some other guy might display more machismo than you, buy the gun that fits your hand. Even if it is an M&P with the small backstrap.

As an added bonus, when you throw the small backstrap on your M&P, it'll fit the hands of the cute girl firing the Ruger .22 next to you, and all the Glock snobs will be going green with envy as she fondles your pistol. :D

Seriously. Do whatever you can to handle the various candidates, and buy the one that fits your hand.

Also bear in mind that with the large backstrap, the M&P may well fit large hands better than a Glock 17, depending on finger length and about a dozen other variables.

Don't let the Glock snobs make you think that other pistols are inferior...they're just bitter about being teased by the SIG snobs. :rolleyes:

I have an affinity for lace panties on females. If you Glock fanboys prefer your mates to be of the burlier sort and wearing flannel, then we won't judge you.

I like lace panties. :D
