Best 9mm for a women??

Let her shoot as many different handguns as she can try to figure out what she likes best and what works best for her (two different things).

My wife liked Glocks until she tried them then decided they were not for her.

Anybody can recommend this or that based on their preference & experience but it won't be best for anyone else.
 
I love shooting my husband's browning 9mm, however my favorite is MY Ruger .45 1911. PSI trigger pull is less than 4lbs. Grip fits me perfect

Not disagreeing on your endorsement of the G48.

Having spoken to the guys at Glock who were responsible for the development of the G48, it was not made precisely for the application of people with small hands. IN fact it was designed precisely to be the most compact firearm possible that would be classified as Restricted in Canada, in order to meet demand for the Conceal Carry in waiting crowd.

And its not the first product offered by Glock geared specifically to the Canadian Market place.

Difference according to Glock is 6mm. In the handgun world thats a pretty big difference.

The G48 also has a shorter Length of Pull, is 120 grams lighter, and 11mm shorter. All things that will be better for small hands.

FWIW, my wife hates my browning high power. She shoots my P226r without issue. Her hands are tiny.

g48 was not made for canada but more all the states that banned more than 10 rounds mags ...

and yes the g17 is way bigger than the g48 nothing new here.

my wife loved the browning hi power we had but she preferred 9mm 1911. everybody taste is different and she had large hand glove sze while i have 2xl ...

i do really the fitting of the g19x.

Glock said they made the G48 for Canada. Are you saying they are wrong? You think the 106mm barrel length was a coincidence?
 
Glock is not the first manufacturer to consider the requirements for Canada. Ruger, handguns), specifically made the rekindled GP100 with 4.2" barrels to accommodate IDPA AND, as stated in their catalog, made to meet Canadian Law requirements. S&W, when they realized the GP-100, was selling well brought out their 686 with a 4.2" barrel and called it the Canadian Edition for awhile. Beretta finally made their CX4 Storm with a 18.5" barrel to meet our standard for NR rifles. There likely are others as well.

That is indeed the case. The 48 is a fantastic gun. I shoot the hell out of mine despite the fact it begins to chew up the web of my hand. My wife is constantly sneaking it out too, she is quite petite so I'd be hard pressed to recommend any other gun.

- That's what I was thinking.

The wife has pretty small hands, and she has no issues shooting a G17/HP/1911/P226

Maybe I'd suggest spending some time teaching her (or have a buddy teaching her, easier for the couple) the proper shooting/grip technique.
- Some basic exercises to strengthen her upper body?

i thought and i understood wrongly because that was not the barrel in our discussions. seems the barrel lenght is canadian directed same for the magazine capacity but it seems the market is now more the us than canada.

so my bad.
