So what's a good CZ to check out in 9mm?? Not familiar with CZ.... but i see they're quite popular.....

Any. Really they are all good and with very little affort can be tuned up to be outstanding.

The competition shadow is hard to beat, comes with a competition hammer and tuned trigger which is outstanding to say the least.

1. facts, do a little research outside of Canada. the world is a big place. I know its controversial to think outside of ones borders however its worth doing on occasion.

so many times 2. we base our opinions on our own experiences which are often very limited. Check around and see if you can come up with manufacturing numbers, real numbers, not 'facts' spewed by the salesman at the lgs.

You will be surprised to see what the numbers actually are.

As for best 9mm thats purely subjective anyway and fortunately there are many great ones being made, and we each get to shoot what we prefer.

3. As for the best, for the money, the CZ gets the highest number of votes, when guys vote with their money.

1. So where are yours??? All I've seen so far is more opinion;

2. You are making assumptions about my experience - if yours are that's fine, but don't project; I don't attend often, much less do "research" at the LGS;

3. I doubt you can prove that - incidentally at our club-level IPSC match last Sunday there were two CZ's (both .40's) and both broke their slide stop shaft during the match. Does this mean they aren't a decent gun?? Not at all, however I think they are better as a 9 rather than a .40... Purely anecdotal...

Jane's is a much better reference for this sort of thing than Wikipedia...

CZ's are fairly easy to tune. I swaped out a hammer in the Kadet for a competition hammer and it turned the trigger into a SRT like Sig trigger, the difference was amazing and all for $63 and a little time.

Cool. What did the pistol originally cost you ballpark before the upgrade etc?? i didn't think much about CZ before and am surprised at the poll results, not that a poll means anything but it seems like a lot of people must like them.....

How much do the Shadow's go for ballpark??

$850 + tax roughly. Sometimes you find them for under $800 on sale. Its probably the best handgun under a grand. Once you handle or shoot one, you will probably want one. Its a real accurate gun, that has quite a few features that you usually must buy seperate, but a shadow has the options standard, out of the box.

For me ...
of the above, ive owned.
glock , xd , 92 fs , walther P99,
i voted for beretta 92fs.
.
M&P, comfy, dont like grip angle, wont buy.
Hi power , simply put , hate it .
SIG = meh.
Glock=meh, considering buying another one, but still = meh,dont like the grip angle but like the low bore axes and simplisity.
Walther P99 = best erginomics period,flawless function great fit and finish,snappy not for beginers.
Taurus= well whatever, a clone is a clone is a clone .
XD= like alot , a little bulky, not as bulky as beretta in the grip, but just feels kinda top heavy .
Beretta 92 fs = most accurate period,dependable, comfortable, easy to shoot,great grip angle but its a bit big for some, still my favorite so far .if you can get a grip on this gun you cant fail ,simply put i like everything about it .
Next to buy HHHHhhmmmmm.
Would love the try the.
Px4 storm .
PPQ.
and the shadow ...shadow feals great ..heard great things ..

My favorite pistol in 9mm is the the S&W M&P, it fits so well it's crazy. I can comfortably shoot that thing all day long and I know it won't fail on me. But that's a variable thing, fit is different for everyone.

I've been extremely happy with my g17 gen 4. That being said, I'm currently touring the good old USA and have tested the sig 226, the walther ppq, m&p and surprisingly - my favorite - the xdm. I checked out the compact 3.8 (in 45) and I absolutely loved it. If these were available in Canada, I would be adding to my collection asap! I will most likely be picking up the 4.5 soon regardless. Honestly, I was a little dissapointed in the ppq - it was great but i just loved that xdm! All personal preference I suppose. Happy hunting!
