Colt 1911 Lightweight Commander seemed to have a very large following in the US in the pre-plastic era.
Reliability or the lack there of, would be an issue for me.
Hey Nutz,
I'm sure this has been discussed already, but - if by some miracle your CFO issued you an ATC because there was a legitimate threat to your life, what restricted would you carry?
It would be a coin toss up to decide between the Glock 17 or the S&W M&P. both utterly reliable, safe, and 11 shots. Of course an extra mag in your pocket. The real question is what kind of ammo would you employ?
Combat commander is the 9mm iirc?I've done some ccw. I used a glock 23 with a sig 357 barrel. I used it in Florida and North Carolina. In areas where I can wear a suit, I carry a series 70 1911 combat commander. I carried that in Detroit recently to a few places.
The only thing I would completely trust is my Smith and Wesson 686 using 357 magnum. It just feels reliable and I have never had a misfire in thousands of rounds.
One of these of course
